Thank you:)

I have heard from several people onboard that bartenders are telling people this is about the fact that the ship has 4,000 onboard the current sailing and they dont have the bartenders to cover as needed. This is is 100% on MSC and total BS call.

I called MSC today with this question and was told you can get the package but must buy it onboard for 3 day cruises,
This has been the norm, but reports onboard the current 3 day sailing are saying that they no longer offer them on the short cruises.
If you do not have a package as part of your cruise fare then its pay as you go only.

If I remember correctly, on a 3 day sailing MSC does not offer any drink packages, either before boarding or after.
Not true at all, not offered online but available once onboard.

Reading reports from people onboard that starting today drink packages are NO longer allowed to be purchased onboard.
This is a current 3 day sailing, but can anyone confirm this?

Outstanding review Jagr.
We are back on the Meraviglia on the 17th and on the Virtuosa in June which will be our first YC experience. We cant wait!

We went from a JS to a OS on the Anthem in June.
They hooked me, got me good.

so if i want several glasses of wine with dinner in main dining room (will drink other stuff rest of the day) are you saying that the Easy Plus wine selection is the same as Easy? or just one more option per varietal than Easy? i probably won't go to specialty restaurants, so that's not an issue.
the Easy Plus is offered on a November Divina cruise I'm considering at a very attractive price, but it doesn't give me an option to choose a different beverage package in pre-booking. is that typical?
(this will be my first time on MSC... i have fond memories of the 20 euro per day drink package on Costa)
If you book the price that included the easy package you will be able to upgrade to the premium with no problem either from the website or a quick phone call to upgrade.
It is worth it if you are wine drinker.

Yes you do.
We had a JS and Royal Up to a Owners Suite on the Anthem. It was awesome, and we did get double points because we had a JS booked originally.

That’s awesome. For our upcoming cruise (Symphony), we were notified 17 days prior (OB to CL)…pretty excited. If we ever cross paths, I’ll buy ya a drink and we’ll chat airplanes.
Anytime, I am always flying into Tampa North for Breakfast.

The FILET is amazing and better than the filet in chops.

We sailed on the Anthem June 17th and got awarded our Owners Suite upgrade on May 23rd.

To the me the upgrade to the Premium was worth it just for this reason.
On the Meraviglia had no problem getting solid wines with the Premium, even in the specialty restaurants.
Solid advice for sure, great post.

In June we sailed on the Anthem from Southampton to France and Spain. It was the BEST cruise of all of them, highly recommend.

We are doing the 3 night Meraviglia ,Nov 17, PORT CANAVERAL to Marine Reserve for 2 days then back.
Hey we are on the same sailing!

We ordered drinks in the CK on Anthem every morning, and at Dinner.
We did have a drink package, but was never once asked for our cards. ENJOY!

Not really a specialty, but on the Anthem in June we were eating in the Coastal Kitchen on lobster night. Our amazing waited just kept bringing my wife tails as she finished one. She ended up eating 4 total, it was pretty funny to watch.
The Anthem and crew are simply amazing, and just wanted to share:)

When dud you find out about your successful bid?
About 3 1/2 weeks before sail date.

Anthem is incredible and cruising from Southampton even more so.
On the June 17th sailing we were Royal UP from a JS to OS and it was simply amazing.
Fingers crossed for you!

FWIW: The "one hour early" is pure urban legend. There is no substantiation for that.
you are 100% WRONG

Not all ports have a suite pre-board area.
Port Canaveral has a great one, Southampton was just a roped off suite area.
On the June 17th sailing on the Anthem we boarded first at 10:15am and were the 4th onboard. It was pretty nice.

Hello Everyone,
This is my first time in a suite and was wondering if, when I check in do I still pick a time to arrive at Cape Liberty. I think there is priority boarding, but don't know about the arrival time.
Thanks so much!
Kathy
Dont forget Suites board first:). We love the suite pre board area and boarding first. ENJOY!
