Thank you! It was not fun. We boarded Friday and daughter tested positive on Sat. We were looking at 6 days in quarantine so we ended up disembarking in Spain and quarantining in a condo there instead. Much better experience since we weren't allow to have fresh air otherwise for 6 days.

The cruise technically ended on June 24.

I was following on our group page on the sailing, and I am so sorry this happened.

I also prefer the OS to a CLS.  This is the first time I've seen an OS on a Q class.  LOVE the second toilet room but I would miss the bidet.  I love the bidet in other OS.

Unlike with the GS, that full wall separating the living area from the BR does not make the suite feel small.  I really hate the design of the GS on Q class ships.  The OS has plenty of room.  Very nice.

I did notice the GS is a lot smaller than on the Freedom class.

Thanks for the video.  You did a great job panning -- sometimes I almost get dizzy following some videos!

Interested in the comparison to the Crown Loft. We have an OS on the Oasis in September for the first time. We actually changed from a CL to try an OS.

The CL is nice of course with a NICE tall ceiling, but seems very narrow.   Never felt that in this OS.  Also the closet space on the Harmony CL was not a lot.

The OS is perfect for us I think, BUT I would not hesitate to sail in a CL again if given the chance;)

  4. Hello All,

We sailed the Anthem from Southampton from June 17th until the 24th.

What a spectacular cruise and such an amazing experience for the family.  Here is a video of Owners Suite 12238 which we won through Royal UP 2 weeks before sailing.  We bid just 5.00 above the minimum, and originally had a Junior Suite.

In all honesty we enjoyed this cabin more than the Crown Loft on Harmony back in 2019.

Us too..........but hold on to them because you never know when the winds will change or other Country requirements and we need to have testing to cruise.

True, we fly over Wednesday night and have testing set for Wed morning to board Friday.  Ohhhhh I will be taking them anyways for sure, they are packed in the carryon already.

Nice to know we won't be stuck in London for 10 days thought.

Hi Biker does the credit card get charged, before the set sail pass changes to the new room?

The other day the first that thing that happened was the charge on my card, I get text alerts for all charges.   I was on my computer at the time and logged into my reservation within seconds and saw the new cabin number. Then about 3 min later came the email 🙂

  7. So we love love fine wines.   We had the premium drink package and it was just fine.  Covers some OK reds,  but keep in mind you can pay the difference.  I was drinking a lot of Oberon on the Indy two weeks ago, and it was 15.00 a glass, but the package covers up to 13.00 so just paid the 2.00 difference.   Wines like Caymus you will only be able to get by the bottle however with the bottle discount it brings it pretty close to market price.

We had 1748 and we loved it. I didn’t want to overlook the sports deck and those staterooms didn’t have any privacy at night with the lights on. I a;so wanted to sit on my balcony and wt h the world go by. You’ll love the CLS.

We had 1710 and it was AMAZING, about to book it again.   Here is my tour of the cabin:)

Maybe if all kids were well behaved and didn’t run around and if parents didn’t allow which behavior, kids could go into the Suite Lounge at night. But, on a recent Harmony formal night, an older woman, in a formal dress, was sitting not far from us enjoying a cocktail with her husband, when 2 boys maybe 7 and 20 were running and bumped into her arm and her drink went down the front of her. Not all kids are brats, but not all are well behaved. That poor woman never made it to dinner in her beautiful blue dress. The parents never said a word or apologized for the brats behavior. Kids and teens have places to go, why not adults?

They DO, it's called Virgin cruises

Royal continues to be a family friendly cruise line, one of the many reasons we choose Royal.

There are definitely quite a lot of cruise line options with no kids allowed which is good for the people who choose to not be near families.

With you 100% on this.  People walking around with those Pinnacle name tags on are FAR more annoying than the kids onboard.

  11. Just off Indy in a Grand Suite and PLENTY of kids were in the lounge at night, and as a matter of fact during breakfast in chops every morning the concierge made sure to invite them when she visited our table every morning.  Also to make you all feel better strolled over to the Diamond lounge a few times, and GUESS what??  Kids in there also.
