Star of the Seas Blocks inside the small building Hall at Meyer Werft.
That's cool. Didn't realize that they were assembling some parts there. Since it all under Meyer Werft, it does make sense though.

It’s nice to see Richard Fain in some of the photos and videos during the delivery ceremonies. He is truly passionate about Royal Caribbean Group and cruising in general.

Star of the Seas' FERU will makes its way from Rostock, Germany towards Meyer Turku tomorrow.
It would be nice if she got there in time to cross paths with her sister Icon before or as departs the Shipyard.

I am especially looking forward to the reviews of Harr Travel and "Cruise with Ben and David".
The guy with Harr Travel (I think his name is Danny) gives very good detail video reviews.

Hi. Back to the room videos, I focused on the last one, that they called the "Grand Suite Aft view". Hmmm. Do you think that he could mean the Sunset suite? Only bc there are no aft Grand suites.. Also, on CDP it shows the grand suites on 16 and 17 as Infinite grand suites, and when it shows the floor for the IG, it says deck 9. When we booked it on deck 17 it was a "regular" grand suite; not too worried but eager for those first real pix to come out...
I think that part of the video is a regular Grand Suite (on decks 16 and 17). I say that because of the bed placement, and the TV on the side wall next to the bed before the sofa. There is a second TV on the opposite wall in the “nook” facing the sofa.

Now I see it. You are right, from the renderings looks like it’s on the outer side not inside the bridge. Interesting look. Thanks for sharing this detail.

Icon stopped dead today and a tug from Dalsbruk in the South of Finland came out to meet her. Bringing some people out perhaps?
Interesting. Thanks for sharing this information.
She seems to be moving again and very fast at 23.;kn a few minutes ago.

You think the would have extended the deck above out more to the edge of the balcony or even overhanging a bit and create more pax space above

Seems like they at least made the glass panels overlooking the deck 17 Suite balconies higher. It might deter someone from leaning over to look into your balcony 😀

Thanks 🙂 can't say the same about the videos. I was taking a video for probably an hour when the Icon was passing by, but when I got home I noticed that there was no video, I had forgotten to press the damn record button I guess?
Oh so sorry to hear that. Still, I think all of here really love your photos and appreciate the time and effort you put in it and sharing with us 😀.

Some of them propably, but there is sauna which is pretty popular throughout the year 🙂 some people are still swimming in the sea too!
Our local tug from port of Turku already left, three others which came from elsewhere will propably stay there whole night. The water must be real cold for swimming this time of the year with the snow just starting, but I suppose many enjoy that there 😀
Icon is looking good with its lighting at night.

Yeah it does look that way. Not sure what they were thinking if that is the final way it’s supposed to look like.

Thanks very, very much for this photo and the angle it provides. I could be wrong (or my eyes playing tricks on me 😄) but, it does appear so far that all those deck 17 suites excluding the Loft Suites only have partial balcony covered.
