  1. Ideal thanks George. We had a grand suite and my parents had an owners suit on either Navigator or Independence (can’t recall) from Southampton in 2017 and I don’t remember breakfast being an option which I why I asked. Don’t recall getting an email either.
  2. We’re doing Explorer at Christmas and have a Grand suite. Is there a breakfast in Cagney’s or similar option? Can’t see anything specific on their website so thought I’d ask. Also having never done a Christmas cruise, is there much in the way of celebrations? Turkey dinner etc? Anything special for children? many thanks.
  3. Great thread, thanks for posting? We’re opposite to you as we loved Singapore. Had 3 nights there. We also did the same 8 1/2 hour flight on our way home to the U.K. from Sydney. Arrived in Singapore, dropped our bags off at the hotel and went straight to a U2 concert. Long flight to see a band 🙂 but so worth it. Out of interest, are there many children on the ship? We’d like to do a cruise out of/or to Singapore and just wonder if it would be suitable for our daughter who would be 9 by the time we did it. We did a two week cruise from Sydney around NZ and that was great.
  4. Yes I checked prices and got a good deal. The Haven and suites require a 20% deposit, hence the amount. We are probably going to do this cruise which is in august to the Greek isles, however as winter is upon us, we’ve just been thinking about a Caribbean cruise next December over Christmas, so curious if the deposit was transferable. I’ve read the Terms and Conditions and it’s quite vague - it says ‘changes by you” are £35 a person, but doesn’t say what those change can be, so I thought I’d ask here.
  5. Firstly are deposits transferable please? Secondly is one from a haven to another cabin category? To book a haven the deposit was £2,000 as it’s a lot more so wondering if that can be moved to say a balcony cabin? TIA.
  6. Again thank you all, very enlightening. Having done around 30 something cruises I know a bit about most lines, but not a lot about one line, so all info is very handy. Sthrngary been reading thread with interest so thank you 😎
  7. Thank you all very much. Loads of helpful info from everyone 🙂
  8. Been a few years since with been with NCL, have booked a two bed suite in the Haven on Epic for next summer. Just wonder if anyone’s got any tips for making the most of it? At the moment it’s my wife and I and our daughter who’ll be 8. Had a penthouse on the Jade years ago but that’s a lot different to the Haven from what I can see.
  9. We’re thinking of doing a cruise around Asia next year when our daughter is 7 and just wondered if the itineraries/countries are suitable for that age. Probably out of Singapore (we went there 3 years ago and found it fantastic so thought that might be a good base). Maybe stops at Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong etc. not sure which ones yet but those as an idea. In Europe we know the good itineraries for a child but no idea regarding Asia. Many thanks.
  10. I’ve only been on Celebrity twice and can’t recall if I’ve any status on there. Last time was 2012 and I’m sure someone told me whatever status you have on Royal Caribbean gets applied. That was 10 years ago and I’m not even sure if the companies are still connected so thought I’d ask here if anyone knows? I’m Diamond on RC.
