We almost always sail on free casino cruises. We sailed 5 times last year. We are leaving in about 10 days on Carnival and then again in February on NCL.
These cruises are far from free! With port taxes and other things it is still a couple hundred dollars, at least.

I like the fact that we get free laundry service, however, I don't like the fact that the clothes come back very stiff and non-smelling clean. We do use the service and have always gotten our clothes back the same day and without paying anything extra for this service.

I am way past having to hide Elf on the Shelf.
The ones that our grandchildren have can't be touched after they are found. The elves have been had some strange adventures, but the kids know that they can't touch them or he will tell Santa and then that means trouble!!! LOL

I had to use the medical center on the breeze about 2 years ago, and was treated very well. Not only was the medical staff very nice, but the rest of the crew was vary accomadating and got me off the ship first, the next morning, so that I could transported to the hospital in Miami.

Could someone please tell me what this show is about? Hubby and I are disagreeing if we have seen this show in the past. Would just like to have heads up!

We got these "beautiful" visors on our last cruise, we took them to the customer service desk and traded them for the Tevis bottles. Several people had the same idea. I am not sure if they are still trading the visors for anything else. Maybe we just lucked out!!!

We were on the 9/9 cruise and I found the dinner arrangements were beyond terrible. One evening we left the dining room without finishing our dinner, because it was taking too, too long to get served. We have been on 20+ cruises and the service was horrible (food being cold or the wrong dinner) We were sorely disappointed in the quality of food and especially the service.
We will be sailing again soon so we were not that bothered!

We just got back a week ago, and the cruise director was TJ. Was fun, but very young!
Had a great time! (we are still recovering)

i was on the valor in march and had very poor service the first night in the mdr. early dining. when the matre'd came around we told him of the long waits and he said her would fix it. next night, we were in and out, all courses, in 50 minutes and for the rest of the cruise we had excellent service. did you tell someone what was going on or did you just sit there unhappy without saying a word. if no one knows something is broke, they can't fix it.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I did tell the maitre'd, and nothing was really done. He came over and apologized and said the dining room was short staffed, and said he was sorry. THAT'S ABOUT IT!

My husband and I just returned from the Valor yesterday and we really disappointed in the service in the dining room. It was probably the worst service EVER on a Carnival cruise. Some nights it took so long that we walked out without finishing our dinner. The waiters were very disorganized and seemed to be just running around trying to just catch up. The "entertainment" during the dinners were just an added annoyance that made the dining experience even more time consuming. On 2 nights we ate on the Lido deck, just to avoid the hassle of eating in the dining room.

ONE MORE DAY!
Leaving tomorrow morning to drive to Florida. 🌴🛳🎉🐬🏝🎈🎊‼️‼️
-
I asked the cruise director, that is now on the Valor, and she said that the schedule will be out the last week of August.
-
It seems alot of people are on the Valor 9/9/ sailing! I have had the American Table on past cruises and we were not really impressed with it.
-
OOPS, only 20!
-
21 days!!!! Then we are off to sail on the Valor.

Ummmm.... while some of you might find spendign time with someone elses young kids fun.... this cruise was supposed to be a relaxing vacation for me and my daugthers :D
First of all, why did you invite the bff to sail with you, knowing that she has 2 small children that will be sailing with you? And as for the change in meeting places, the kids are not "confined" to one place. When we took our grandchildren on a cruise, the kids would be out and about doing kids things (they were chaperoned at all times.
Just go and enjoy the time away with your daughters and don't stress out about the little ones, they are not yours to worry about.

Thank you very much. How did she handle being CD?
Loud? Too peppy? Just wondering what to expect.
-
Can someone please answer a question for me? Who is the CD on the Valor? I cannot find the info. I had the info before, but, now I am having a brain fart and can't find it, again.
Thanks in advance.

Ruthless Parent, I am sorry, but am I missing something? Why can you not say good bye to everyone on the ship? We are Platinum and would not try to disembark 10-12 people with us. There is a reason that they have numbers for getting off the ship. What if everyone that is Platinum or above, decided to do the same this? CAN YOU IMAGINE THE CHAOS?
-
If you see FTTF available buy it! Don't hesitate they can sell out again in a matter of mins.
-
Sorry I was wrong! Just checked.

I thought there was $$ limit on the drinks that you can order when using the Cheers program? Like maybe $10.00 and then you are charged on your sign and sail card for the difference. We sail about 4 times a year and I thought that's how it worked?

misync,
We leave on the Valor in about 55 days and I have 2 questions.....
1) where did you get the discount parking coupon?
2) what were the Dive In movies?
Thanks in advance for any answers that you can prvide.
