As a S. CA resident, I think you are nuts. One accident on the freeway and you miss your flight. I wouldn't risk the added stress/plane ticket money, but for some, it may be worth the risk.

Thank you!

Can someone share with me how the charge appears on the credit card? Is it Allstate, a different online company? I can get 3% cash back if it is an "online purchase", but it won't give me the bonus if it is for "allstate" since insurance (een though I am not using it to buy insurance) isn't covered in the bonus category. Thanks!

There is a big difference between a 9 and 12 year old in the clubs. I highly doubt, and, in fact, my kids would be super annoyed, if a 9 year old were put in Circle C. Mine are 13 and 14. Your best bet would be for the 12 year old to move down.

I recently got the card myself and figure I'll use it for any excursion I book through Carnival. Normally, I link my Citi double card (2% cash back) before I cruise so all my purchases on board are charged to it. Is there any advantage of charging on board purchases to my Carnival card instead?
You get 2x funpoints for Carnival purchases. So advantage would be if there is one charge is $1500+, you can redeem at 1.5 days for points instead of just 1.

If you book through Fly2Fun, do they guarantee you will make the ship like how they guarantee the ship won't leave without you if you book an excursion through Carnival? That is the only way I would cut it that close.

I see you get an app, main and dessert. Are the sides extra charge?

No more avocado toast:-( I'm looking forward to trying the chia pudding, though. Good thing there are lots of other good eats on board to choose from:-)

OMG! How can you do that? I have one full suitcase and a carry on, and my hubby has the same. No way could I fit everything in a carry on! 😱
Depends how long the cruise is😉

The first night the clubs have a "meet and greet" type event. It is usually around 9pm. This is when most "cliques" form, so I urge teens to attend this event.

Yes, they are safe. First off, once in teen clubs, they are allowed to check themselves into and out of the club. Many teens make friends, then hang out in other areas of the ship together. Having the hub app is a nice way to keep in touch, but it isn't flawless. My girls have strict rules. There is NO ONE allowed in our stateroom. Likewise, they are not allowed to set foot in another, even if that is where others decide to "hang out". If one leaves the club, the other has to as well. They must meet us for dinner every night. Our upcoming cruise will be their 5th.

So you couldn't sign him up online? My kids have vifp numbers and have since they were 7 and 8. Call if that is what it takes. I could care less about the color of the card. I want my kids to be able to reach platinum and diamond, if they so choose, earlier in their lives so they can enjoy boarding early, etc.

Hope they find the fisherman safe!

My guess is they got the gift cards at 10% off. You cannot get deals on cruise cash.

Check the policy you got in your email. Mine has the total amount divided evenly amongst the 4 of us on the policy itself. I have to go to the last page way at the bottom.

If you cannot do the ruins in a leisurely manner where you have time to really experience them, learn from them and, when allowed, climb them, don't go. IMO, spending half the day getting to and from will make the trip not worth it. Go to Cancun or Playa del Carmen as a land vacation, and you will not be disappointed. Many snorkel and dive outfits in Mainland Cancun and PDC set up trips specifically to Cozumel for diving and snorkeling to give you an idea of the quality you will get there.

They have watermelon syrup at Alchemy Bar if all else fails, unless your ship has no Alchemy Bar.

Yes Bahacca I've done the cave tubing and zip lining in Belize. Really was a great experience. I recommend it highly. Don't forget to try the four legged chicken very tasty.
I meant if anyone has price matched. I found one cheaper, but now I want just the tubing and cannot find one that is the same length. All of them are shorter duration.

If you are looking a hotel for the night before, you can always just book a hotel right by the port. You may want to also factor in cost of hotel. I know Miami can be $$$$

I would just call the 800 number and ask for help. If they try to connect you to that PVP, ask for them to take their name off and that you are dissatisfied with their service. I have heard of people booking with PVP and then transferring the booking to travel agents, so....

https://www.shoreexcursioneer.com/belize/jungle-cave-tubing-zip-line-combo.html I found this one for people for future reference. My kids are not ready to zipline, so I'll need a pricematch for just the cave tubing.

I am reluctant to book a cave tubing trip outside of the cruiseline since the travel to get there and back is so far. I've been looking at comparable trips, and all of the tour operators note their trips being .5-1 hour SHORTER than the cruiseline trips. Has anyone had luck with Carnival price matching an outside tour that includes cave tubing? If so, which one?
