I am booked on Freedom out of San Juan in September. It is a southern Caribbean itinerary. I have looked at the cruises for 2021 within 4 weeks of my departure date and there are no 7 day Southern Caribbean cruises. There are plenty of Eastern & Western. Do you think they would honor the Lift & Shift because there are no Southern itineraries?

I have a cruise booked on Freedom of the Seas for September 2020.  Could I lift and shift to September 2021 but then be able to cancel under the Cruise with Confidence if I decide I don’t want to go?

I am considering booking a Celebrity cruise to Alaska for this summer under the Sail Beyond Event with the 2 extra perks.  If I pick the classic beverage package as one of my perks, do I have to pay gratuities on the beverage package price?  I know that on NCL if you pick the beverage package or specialty dining package, you have to pay the gratuities on the package as well.

cafe promenade does have special coffee drinks and frappuccino-type drinks that are included. they will just be a different coffee brand (usually seattle's best, but it's been years since i've been on oasis so it might be something else).

Wow I got really lucky then I was on the 9/10 Oasis sailing right after the drink packages changed. Originally bought a premium and got upgraded to deluxe and the coffees at the stand alone Starbucks were included it was great. Sad they won't be included anymore

Regarding Starbucks, what sort of drinks are included? Would that include the blended drinks as well as the hot drinks? How about specialty teas?

I got iced espresso drinks mostly those were all included. Not sure if frappacinos are included or not. I also got some of the shaken iced tea drinks and those were included

Hi all,

Just wanted to give an update as I have returned from my cruise on the Oasis. I had previously purchased the ultimate beverage package which got upgraded to the new deluxe beverage package. It included anything up to $13, which was all the margaritas at Sabor and pretty much any cocktail I wanted. The new package also includes drinks at Starbucks.

I just returned from a cruise and we stayed at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise port hotel. Very clean and staff was friendly. They are doing construction to their lobby right now. The pool and jacuzzi area are very nice. Right across the street from a Walgreens and the cruise port. They offer a cruise port shuttle for $6/person

I will be on the 9/10 Oasis of the Seas sailing and have purchased the Premium Drink Package. What is the price limit for cocktails? I have seen a limit of $12 but not sure how recent that is.

I am interested in trying some of the margaritas at Sabor, and according to a recent Sabor menu I found, some of these drinks are $13. Are these included in the Premium Beverage Package, or would I have to pay the difference? Just wondering if someone has any experience using their beverage package at Sabor.

I apologize if this question has been asked before, I cannot seem to find any recent information on the topic.

I am considering booking a cruise on the Summit and I can choose 2 of the 4 perks ($150 OBC/classic beverage package/prepaid gratuities/free internet). I was planning on doing Select Dining.

I just want to make sure I am understanding all of the above posts correctly that it would be a better value to choose the $150 OBC/person instead of the prepaid gratuities? Just wanted to make sure the OBC can be used on the gratuties

It mentions a deposit of 50%. How do you do that? How and when do you pay the balance?

I really like what I've read about Scenic Tours, but am hesitant to book because of the four-passenger minimum. I'm booking for just my husband and me, so we would be left without a tour if no one else books that day. How many people do the vehicles hold? Does anyone know if their tours fill up in advance or would I be taking a chance with them? I'm also awaiting a report from Snow Bunny as she booked a private tour, apparently for just two people. That sounds great.

Our vehicle was a van which held about 8 people, there was also a bus they had that held around 20 people. Both of the vehicles were full the day we went.

I don't think you would be taking a chance booking a tour with them. You can also ask them if anyone is booked for your date just in case.

Got an email confirmation from Sean back yesterday....all is well....can't wait for this excursion....it gets a lot of good reviews.

I have a fast question for your redsox1584, how long was the stop at Nelson's Dockyard National park? We're really interested in getting some photo ops there. Thanks.

We made 2 photo op stops in the national park, one at Shirley Heights and I can't remember the name of the other, we stayed about 10 minutes at each of those.

Then we went down to the dockyard and we had a 10 minute guided tour but then had 20-25 minutes on our own to check out the dockyard

Redsox1584, thanks for that review. Can you tell me how long the portion of the tour is before he drops people at the beach? We really want a few hours at the beach, but would also like to see some of the island. Thanks! :)

The tour itself was around 3.5 hours.

The people that were on our tour that were staying at the beach were planning to stay a couple of hours there. :)

I didn't try making phone calls with those apps so I am not sure. I did use Facebook messenger for messages and that worked fine.

Probably the same thing I'd imagine. When you open up a link from Twitter does it stay in the Twitter app or does it load via another browser?

I had an iPhone though not an Android phone but I would assume they wouldn't work on android either

So next week Google is holding an event that I kinda wanna know the news of it.....Has anyone who's used the social media package on an Android phone with Twitter to open up outside websites? I noticed clicking on a few links that it does indeed open up via twitter app, but will it get blocked because it's an outside link or will it work because it's inside of twitter app?

These links will not load. I was on the Carnival Conquest a few weeks ago and purchased the social media package. I had access to Facebook and Twitter but any time I tried to click a link to an external site within those apps, it would not load.

Wondering if you can provide any details on Turner's (altho I know you didn't stay long) - e.g. loungers/umbrellas, washrooms/change facitilies, food/drink?

There was a bar at Turner's beach, I am not sure if they served food or not. There were washrooms/changing facilities there - I did not go in them. They had lounge chairs and umbrellas available for rental for $10/person - our tour guide Jerome was telling the other people on our tour this that were staying at the beach.

It looked like a nice beach, not too crowded, although we were the only ship in port that day, so I am not sure if it would be busier with more than one ship. The tour itself without the beach is $33/person and with the beach is $38/person, I think that's a pretty good value in comparison to the ship excursions. The tour guide will pick you up at a specified time to go back to the ship. He dropped us back off in the city and was going to pick up the people at the beach a few hours later. Hope this helps!

Turner's Beach

Hello all,

I returned from my cruise on the Conquest yesterday and wanted to share my thoughts on Scenic Tours of Antigua. We really enjoyed our tour with them. We had Jerome as our guide, and he took us on a tour around the island. He was very informative and answered any questions that we had.

There were some people on our tour that were going to the beach, so he dropped them off at the beach at the end of our tour, then dropped us off back in St. John's and was going to pick up the people from the beach later on. Looking back on it, I wish we had done the island experience with the beach, the beach looked very nice. We got to get out and walk around for a few minutes before going back to the city. Also, we met Sean, the owner of the company at the beach as he was dropping people off there as well. He came over to us before we left to go back to the city and thanked us for choosing them for our tour.

When we were dropped off, we asked Jerome for some places we could go have lunch and he gave us an excellent recommendation. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
