Thanks everyone - was not quite sure where to post. Can always count on the cruise board buddies for help.

Family going on a Caribbean Princess cruise and due to logistics must fly into Miami. What is the best transportation to use from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale? Thanks

Hi All
Does anyone know if I am able to bring my children's scooters on board - not for use on deck but to use in the ports when we are off ship. They can go so much further on them before tiring then they can just walking.
We are on the Emerald next week and the children are 8' date=' 6 and 4
Many thanks

Stop catering to the kids. Leave the scooters at home and make them walk.

As I posted on another post we also were changed from our March 7, 2015 B 2 B from Ruby to Caribbean. Not happy - Sailed on Caribbean when she first came out and all they did was add an entire deck of passenger cabins without changing any of the public spaces to accommodate the extra passengers. Made for awful crowding in many areas. Emerald, Crown and Ruby were changed and made great strides in passenger accommodation. No other ships doing the time that we want so may be stuck the going on the Caribbean. We also have about 35 people going with us, including a wedding for my daughter, so needless to say will be interesting.
SO - anyone have any new input about Caribbean Princess?
Thanks L

Just received a message from Princess regarding out back to back Ruby March 7 & 14, 2015 Caribbean cruise. We have been changed to Caribbean Princess for that trip. Same cabin and deck assignment that we had on Ruby and as ship configuration is identical except for a few design areas there really is no change for us other than the ship. That said I am not happy about the change as our friends were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary which is their Ruby anniversary. Additionally we sailed on the Caribbean Princess when she first came out and the ship was not to my liking so much that I had said I would not sail on her again. When they went to the new class of ships after the Grand class the Caribbean was the first and all they did was to add an entire deck of passengers without changing the public spaces to accommodate the extra capacity. Needless to say this made for terrible crowding in the public spaces that were later improved with Crown, Emerald and Ruby. I agree with previous posters that $30 is sorely lacking in compensation however the cruise line does reserve that right to change. So far no other itinerary looks good. May have to break down and go with Caribbean. After all any cruise is a good cruise - L

There is, as far as I am concerned, no excuse whatsoever for failure of the crew to respond in this situation. Regardless of the reason for the alarm if it is the general alarm as indicated in the muster drill then the crew response should be as mandated. Carnival/Princess reinforced drill times and crew response in view of the Costa Concordia disaster for this purpose. As mentioned by the ex-navy poster there should definitely be some fall out about this. I hope we passengers will hear about some reassurance from Princess that this has been dealt with accordingly.

Not true - Princess does offer one way flights. We just took the maiden voyage on Royal out of Venice October of this year. EZ air through Princess was half of the price of all other airlines and, obviously, went one way to Venice as we would be getting off after the cruise in Ft.Lauderdale. Any and all arrangements were made by calling Princess agents directly who were very helpful. Additionally I was trying to coordinate flights to meet with friends who were also going on this trip with as well. It did take a few phone calls due to trying to ultimately fly with our friends out of Detroit to Venice but Princess was able to work it out. Good luck.

Can anyone tell me if the balconies on Caribe deck Sapphire Princess like the balconies on Ruby/Emerald that are larger but half covered? Or those on Caribe on Sapphire fully exposed?

We recently used Princess EZ air - I just went to the airline website and printed out our flights, numbers etc. to have with us. They are e-tickets so you get them, or actually your boarding pass, at the check in desk at the airport. I had the same concern as you as we were flying to Venice. I also checked the airline web site regularly to make sure we had the seats I chose as the airline had moved them without notice and I had to correct that.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the difference of a balcony versus a premium balcony. Example: on Ruby ( which we will be on) the balcony cabin vs. premium balcony cabin diagrams on Princess web site appear identical. Thanks

Anyone have any information about private tour operators who go to St. John's??

Try Glady's ( Gladyses) Very neat place down old brick lined walkways. Any local/cab/trolly driver knows where she is. Conch soup really good and full bar. Easy walking once in town to her place.
