What did you tell the airline when you checked in? On each of the 10 or so flights I have been on in the US for the last year or so they have asked about if you have tested positive within the previous 14 days.
They have not asked us that on any of the flights we have been on in the last 2 years.

Does it say how long the FCC are valid? Through 2023?

I have read some recent reports of FCC given for cancelling cruises on some of the roll call threads, but could not find anything recent on the HAL board. HAL did have a 30-day before cruise limit of cancelling for FCC, but I am wondering if that number has decreased due to the recent rise in COVID cases. Some say they got FCC even 10 days or so before a cruise. I guess I could call HAL, but I'm not sure I want to cancel yet if I would lose all my fare (nor stay on my phone all day to get through). Thanks for any info on a recent experience.

Thank you for getting back to me. I would like to have a backup on the 16th if our scheduled test for Jan. 14th falls through. Not sure why HAL would stop doing tests after the 9th, since ships are still sailing out of San Diego, so if you could check on a possible extension of testing I would appreciate it.

You can test at the port in San Diego.....from 11 am until 2:45 pm with a Boarding Pass for the day's sailing.
If a charge is appropriate, you can bill the cost of $100 pp to your onboard account.

I have another question, if you don't mind. I looked further into the testing available at the San Diego pier and the website for the company doing the testing does not have any dates for testing for any Koningsdam cruises past Jan. 9th, which agrees with the HAL website comment about pier testing. However, we are on the Jan 16th HI cruise and would like to book a test. Do you have any insight into why they don't have testing on the 16th?

Thank you all for the information. Will look into the options.😊

One person in our cruise party may need an INR test (for testing coagulation times while on a blood thinner) during our cruise. Does anyone know if this is available or have previous experience with the test on board? Thanks for any information.

Google "Holland America Covid-19 protection program". FCC for covid issues less than 30 days prior through disembarcation plus additional coverage. No extra purchase required.
Is there an expiration date for this program, such as 12/31/21?

I miss the Wishlist too. One neat thing about it was that it kept your Wishlist items from one cruise to another, such as flowers you like to purchase, wine package info, and tours that may also be on a cruise that you take in another year. It was pretty neat....hope they put it back😒

We weren’t the only ones embarking today on the Koningsdam that didn’t get our test results in time. There is a whole separate line for people in this position and HAL is doing the test at no charge. They have 6 stations set up and are moving us through pretty quickly. We arrived at noon and are just waiting a few minutes for our results. They didn’t care that we have a 2:20 embarkation time. They’re just trying to get people on the ship.
Were they testing just people that didn't get their results in time, or also people who couldn't (or didn't try to) manage to get a test?

Does this service require a reservation? There is a site (DocGo.com?) that says they do tests at the pier for $100 that will go onto your online bill, but says you have to make a rez with them before the cruise.🤔

I had the same problem, but instead of signing out then re-signing in, I re-signed in using my husband's password. Then I booked the second dinner under his name. I guess that doesn't save any steps, though..It also leaves the booked dinner under his Navigator itinerary, but not under my Navigator itinerary. Took me awhile to figure that out.😏

Yes it shows. Look under "Plan" then "my itinerary"
Mine isn't showing the gala nights, only the suggested dress code "smart casual" for all nights. Our cruise is in January 2022.

Well, my saga has ended. Yesterday I emailed copies of my original letter and redacted stock information to the HAL email address. I had 1) sent my original information by USPS to HAL in Seattle about Nov. 3rd and 2) sent an email to HAL on Nov. 29th asking if they ever got my mailed in information. Well, today I got an email telling me that my OBC had been granted; I thought that was a really speedy response to my 12/16 email, BUT, what it was was a response to my Nov. 29th email, since it was quoted. Anyway, the person who sent me the email apologized for the delay and inconvenience, and mentioned that "the office has limited staff and mailed documents are taking longer to process", just as "Mary 229" suspected in Post #77.🙂

You will get am immediate automated response of receipt. My credit was given within 24 hours and shows on my invoice
Thanks for the info; going to give them one more day to reply to my snail mail. If nothing by tomorrow I will try to email the request.

I wonder if the problem stems from Snail Mail in and Fax requests. The Seattle office is still by and large a remote work staff, working from home. Remotely they would get the emails and possibly the faxes but need to go to the office to process the mail in requests.
Hmm...that is possibly the cause. I didn't think of that. My cruise is next month (January). Now I AM going to resend as an email. In fact, I just prepared my stock info so I can place the info into an email. Does anyone know if you send it that way do you still get the "we will reply in 10-14 days" automated response, but DO get your OBC credited sooner? Thanks again to everyone who is helping me.

Yes, I’ve used the email since they started letting us again. Yup, that’s the email I used. Good luck!

I am up to two weeks on my last request with no response yet. The last one I did took about 15 days. My next cruise is not until March so I am not going to pester them yet. I always request immediately after booking assuming it is within window that the shareholder benefit has been authorized.

Totally shocked me that it was only 3 days.
Thanks for all the comments; I was able to reach HAL by phone today, Sunday, to verify that my OBC had NOT yet been added to our booking. I will probably send my second request for OBC by email to World Cruise Reservations in a day or two, after I see if they respond to my original email asking if they ever got my snail mail request.

Well I did resubmit mine again. I sent it with the original email and much to my surprise about a half hour later it was done.
I guess I will try to resubmit if I don't hear from them soon. Will try email instead of snail mail (been over a month now). Did you use the "World Cruise Reservations" email address? Thanks for any info.

I sent in a snail mail request on Nov. 3 for OBC and a followup email question on about Dec. 6 and got a "it will take 10-14 days to respond" email. Still waiting; I guess the 10-14 days response is true...😒
Per the next post, responses from HAL seem to be extremely variable....

Your luggage tags are orange trimmed and available as soon as your stateroom is assigned.
22 hours ago, Florida_gal_50 said:Mine were not orange trimmed. Maybe it varies by ship.
That's what I thought about the tags (that they would be orange) and when my tags showed up 2 days ago online they weren't marked orange anywhere, so that is the main reason I asked the original question.🤔

On mine it shows on the hal confirmation under the cancellation fees where they normally show what perks you have. Just bought mine today. Never trust hal. You gotta have the paper or it doesn’t exist 😛.

Well, look at that, there it is! Thank you both very much! Never looked past the payment section of page 2. 🙄😊

I could've sworn I saw this question asked earlier this month here, but can't find it anywhere by searching. I am wondering where my booking shows that we have Club Orange. The purchase shows on the booking statement when I purchased it, but it is not labelled as "Club Orange", just a purchase by credit card. It also is not on our boarding passes, which we just received online yesterday. I guess we would see it if we get an orange key card when we get to our cabin, but that would be a little late to start working on the problem and we usually don't take our many booking statements with us. Anyone have an answer to this, or do you just trust HAL....? Thanks for any help.

Won't that require the waiver of the PVSA rules for another year? Seattle cruises need to stop in Victoria, I think, without the waiver.
