Apparently people don't listen to announcements on the plane. They have told us at least a half dozen times that we are indeed going to Houston unlike our in sir monitor thst had us starting in Vsncouver, going to Toronto, heading south and now returning to Toronto. Also surprising was this was the first time we have flown in the past year and the screen wasn't covered in red for delays.

Any recommendations for a good BBQ place in Houston?

Because if you change your mind and cancel you lose nothing. Many people book a couple years out and dont know when school breaks will be, whether they get approved for vacation etc. Once those details get confirmed they switch to a nrd rate.

If that had been the only reason then they would have eliminated the refundable option.

In the air and wifi purchased. We originally were going to fly in the day of the sailing but that was cutting it way too tight so I found a cheap hotel by the airport. Then we had 4 pm flights arriving at 7pm so just arrive have dinner and sleep. Then our flights were changed to 10:30 am arriving at 1:30 so kow we have time to kill. At breakfast I found a rental car through Avis for $100 (more than the hotel) so we will go exploring in Houston Definitely need to get our picture taken at the "I love Houston sign"....those that know, know.😉

With sll yhe other restrictions gone there is not as much need for it anymore. Perhaps they will keep it but not enforce it. It would still help spread out the majority of people.

Not sure if it's the same shuttle or not. Since this is a complimentary cruise they are providing shuttles but I'm not sure how they will compare to the ones the week after. Im guessing they will be Dimitar. We have been told which baggage carousel to meet at..that's sll I know for now.

Absolutely. Probably would be similar to how boarding was pre covid with no check in times. People tend to spread outvyhrouhout the day but for sure there would be a few more earlier on. We've slways had thr earliest boarding time but no one ever checked so it didnt seem to me like they were enforcing it.

Sorry, they don't on a regular basis. It is only for this sailing that they are providing gomplimentary shuttles.

That's a good thing as we are minutes away from boarding our flight and heading to board her tomorrow.

Nothing like a burger at 8 in tje morning as you are at the airport heading out for a cruise. Skipped having breakfast st 5 am when we left home so I was pretty hungry and sbout halfway through the burger before I remembered to take a photo. Flying into Houston, staying overnight by IAH and then taking the free shuttle Royal is providing to Galvsston in the morning. Boarding Allure for the 4 day trade event sailing to Cozumel. I had John send me his 8 day drink list from his Mariner sailing....going to see how much of a dent I can put in thst in 4 days.

You can still change ship and sail date for a $100pp fee.

Not if you find a TA with group rates, then the price will actually go down.

Six cruises this year and never once did they look at my time.

Unless there was something else this was a policy that Carnival implemented. The charge is for a 3rd dinner. First 2 are free
