  1. Giovanni's Italian Kitchen on the Wonder most definitely does.
  2. Although I still give extra at the end of the cruise, I tip each time someone brings me a drink. Whether D+ voucher or casino Prime, I always throw in a couple bucks. That's me, but I don't judge otherwise.
  3. We started cruising in 1990 on the Empress of the Seas and have been hooked ever since. As you do, we love to eat but still stay reasonably thin......which to me means 10-15 pounds over weight. lol! As we got older, we went from constant pool time to constant casino time. 😉 Anyway, I look forward to cruising with you one day and toasting to our good fortunes. Bill
  4. You know it! I typed up our schedule and we're hitting them all. I enjoy reading your quotes and your thoughts on food & cruising in general.
  5. We're on the Wonder three weeks from Sunday (with UDP), so if you don't get the answer you need by then I'll find out at embarkation lunch. I'll try and order a half/half pizza and see what they say. Unlike you, I'll try and eat the whole thing. lol!!
  6. Same with our nine post pandemic cruises. Asked every time......this is at PC
  7. So, the name of the game is to keep checking your points during the week with the Casino Host. Then check out the offers. My DS liked the 7 night Wonder so he played till he got the 4000 points. Of course he kept playing after that cause he was winning. 😁 Then, you book that cruise with Next Cruise, make the small deposit, then call the Casino folks once you get back home and give them your offer number and reservation number. Done! We always book a time with Next Cruise on the first day for the last day. Times book up more toward the middle to end of the week.
  8. Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. You book a next cruise booking while on board, make the small deposit, then when you're back at shore you call the casino folks and give them the info. You're correct about the NC agents not touching casino comps, but they do realize that you'll use your certs for the cruise you're booking on board.
  9. Next cruise bonus is if you booked another cruise while on board you would get that also. My DS25 got $500 off certificate but if he booked Next Cruise while still on board he would get a Balcony on the Wonder and $500 free play. (That was one of the many choices he had) Yep, he booked it while we were still on board. 🙂
  10. All three of us receive new offers every month. We used the offer to book the Wonder on Oct 1st and the Allure on 12/4. Neither cruise cost us more than port fees & taxes and all three of us booked our own cabins. (DW, DS25 & myself) Two balconies and an OV with freeplay. Haven't booked a cruise without an offer in at least five years. We're all three Prime.......
  11. Jamie's is our embark day lunch every cruise for the three of us! We start with the plank, then get three apps, share two pasta's and all three get the burgers. Trust me, they want you to eat! 🙂 PS......garlic bread is the bomb! Gotta get those for sure!
  12. Started cruising in 1990, been on over 90, and I would think things are better now than before. It used to be a joke, prior to the service charge, on how many passengers would be in the dining room the last night of the cruise. That's when the envelopes would be passed out to the crew, and half the dining room would be empty. I guess it's the old way of what is now, calling or stopping at guest services to remove auto gratuities. Ugh.
  13. Thanks for your response. Yes, we've done it many times before and never had an issue getting the charge returned as OBC. Happy Sailing!
  14. Thanks for your input. Since I've done it before and have gotten OBC, we'll just go with that.
  15. We have the UDP for the Wonder later this year and booked (and paid) for Giovanni's for lunch on boarding day. My guess is they will give me OBC for the $$ I paid for the lunch. I just wanted to make sure we had a reservation since that's our normal routine.
  16. Usually by the second week of April.....some times a week or so later. We'll be using our two certificates for a Wonder cruise we have booked for October.
  17. I'm liking the attitude, refreshing. My side is this. Been sailing since 1990, and when autograts where available, I left them on. I also like to have envelopes that last night for a lot of folks, mostly room steward, main dining room, bartenders etc. Some might only have $5 in them, but it's the thought. I do tip a couple dollars with each drink I get. Now, on to the next part. Next cruise on the Wonder we have UDP. Yes, I'll tip extra after the meal and also leave the autograts on. My thought is, it's a few hundred dollars that will make more people happier than me keeping it in my pocket. Yes, I've been blessed. PS....I can't take it with me, and my son has more $$ than me. Ha!
  18. Ps.....because he played so much on the Harmony last Nov, he got a 7 night cruise in Oct on the Wonder for $139.00 plus $500 in casino freeplay. Oh, and double points. 19. You still have to pay Port Fees and taxes, but pretty close to free. 🙂 We have an 8 night Mariner in May that costs us $119.83 each in Port Fees/Taxes and $11 to upgrade. $239.66 total for the two of us. My son paid pretty much the same amount and will get double points for the 8 nights. Nice.
  20. The cabin is comped, but you still pay taxes and port fees. My DW & I get the same offers as our 25yr old son and he sails solo. He gets double points each time. The only difference is if we both upgrade to nicer cabins, he pays the same upggrade price as us even though he is a solo.
