Our uber in Lima was an actual taxi, meter and all. The driver drove like a taxi would ...wheee!
All driving in Lima...

Chops must be really good to be worth $50 per person on top of having already paid for dinner in your cruise fare! :o

You will get a variety of opinions on a thread like this...
But the only right answer is Radiance class. :)

I'm looking forward to trying an aft balcony at some point. It seems like they're pretty popular among their devotees as they're fairly hard to find.

On these threads, one often hears the benefits of having a passport.
What are the advantages of not getting a passport?

Regardless of where those Freestyle machines are...the soda (coke) taste better when you get yours from one of the bars JMHO ;)
I would disagree 100%. I find the fountain soda at the bars and restaurants pretty gross. I only buy the soda package on ships that have the freestyle machines as a result.
-
I'd get the passport so that there is no question and everyone's mind will be at ease
Agree.

Being on the ship in a hurricane is less of an inconvenience than trying to fly into the port leading up to or during a hurricane. If you're the sort of person who flies in day-of, you might want to fly in a day or two beforehand. Cancellations cause a ripple effect across the country, and could impact your getting to the cruise, even if it doesn't affect your ship proper.
I wouldn't worry about the actual cruise itself, but I would be concerned about my ability (and the ship's ability) to get to the port of embarkation. I think that's where the biggest disruption could occur (including cancelled flights and lost cruise days).
But, how often does that actually happen?

We used this app in Port Everglades (currently the only port on the program) and went immediately through while hundreds stood in the regular line.
A great experience.
Same. No idea why so many pax ignored the suggestion of downloading the app.

I received priority boarding April 1 on Freedom with a JS stateroom.

It's probably the anal retentive organizer in me, but I prefer the plastic holders. Ours are similar to these, just a different brand. They work great for the departure tags as well.

The paper tags, even the ones provided at the dock, seem to keep going missing on my bag.
These are what I've used. Work great!

Took Lyft to and from Port Everglades last week. Very easy and fast. About $10 each way, plus tip. I thought it might be hard to get a Lyft to pick us up after the cruise, but it was easy. Just stood with the other private pickup people and requested a ride in the app. Car arrived in two minutes (despite seven ships unloading at the time).
One note: when entering Port Everglades, everyone must show ID, including the Lyft driver. Our driver was not able to produce a drivers license! All she had was a Venezuelan passport. She pretended not to speak English and the let her through.

Mrs. Danv3 wears the same jewelry on a cruise as at home. It's insured and she's ever really been concerned about it.

Echoing many others, please post your experience on Trip Advisor. Hopefully you'll steer others away. This is not OK.

I'm kind of surprised how many people want to eat at 10pm. I'm generally in bed at that time!

JMO, but I wouldn't spend my $ for the very minor convenience offered by the bands.

In my experience, you will not be turned away from the MDR as long as you have on a shirt and shoes, including on formal nights. I'm currently on board Freedom and while I was pleasantly surprised with the number of people who dressed as suggested there were plenty in shorts and t-shirts in the MDR on the formal nights.
-
Is dress code listed as casual?
Yes, it says casual but also says no shorts.
-
Boarded Freedom today. Not surprisingly, Cruise Compass disagrees with the RCI website: "Please note that bare feet, short pants, and tank tops are not permitted at dinner."
I guess it doesn't matter much since they never really enforced the rules anyway, but they probably ought to let the ships know that the rules have changed.
-
Although I'm a traditionalist, I'm OK with the change. My only concern is that with the "rules" now loosened, people will continue to push the envelope.
Example: "No swimsuits in the MDR? Why not? It's my vacation, I'll dress how I want! Besides, it's the Caribbean and it's hot out. Society's changing...no one wants those stuffy rules. Anyway, how can you let what someone else wears affect your enjoyment of dinner? Just live and let live."
All of the arguments previously advanced to allow shorts in the MDR equally support allowing swimsuits in the MDR.
-
It accepted my answers, but it certainly took longer than 10 minutes.
-
What is the concern behind the rule? Tripping hazard? Fire hazard? If fire hazard is the concern, wouldn't the expansion plugs also be prohibited?
-
For me to give a perfect score on a survey (RCI or otherwise) the item I'm reviewing has to be essentially perfect. A request/demand by the person about whom the survey is conducted is an automatic -1 on the score. The experience is already not perfect if you have to tell me how to complete the survey.

Easy to get, you can e-mail the dining e-mail address (I'm sure someone will post it) 2-3 weeks out and make the request.
One warning: the two tops are often so close together, you are basically at a table with others. It is in no way private!
FYI: New TSA Screening Procedures on the Way

If the ban came to pass, the answer would be that you wouldn't take a laptop. You'd bring a tablet (so long as they remain allowed) or you'd rent a laptop at your destination if you really needed one. People will be very upset with this, but it seems like that's where we're heading.
