If this one ends up being true ... John will have lost a lot of credibility and have much back peddling to do. With the number of platinum, especially, cruisers on many sailings, I can see this being a perk going away.
Hopefully not.

Good for a calendar year. $25pp cash only. Funds go to the preservation of the island (land and sea).

Contact VIP Diving for the best personalized service. Very highly rated and phenomenal group of professionals.
Yes, they will pick you up at the port, take you on your dive(s)and return you right to the ship.
Oh, we loved the island and the people so much we have recently moved to the island year round (yes, it’s that good).

Any problem with being seated at larger tables to meet others within Club Class seating? We personally do not like tables for 2 (we cruise to meet new people and learn new things)...

How’d I guess this thread would be mostly Kool-aid drinkers who just don’t care about all of the cutbacks in service, increase in fees, additional passengers, less crew. What will it take? Yes, after over 20 years of nearly exclusive Carnival — they are killing their business. Bring back the old Fun Ship days... nothing booked, nothing planned. First time in ages.

Until those sound effects are enhanced by the scent of the sea air being piped in from outside, I still like to have the balcony door open!
Exactly.. Ditto.. US Too

on the crown it is the concerto dining room (deck 6) as you face back of ship it is to the left. has a sign on wall club class and white curtains. you will love it...excellent staff and head waiter (Phillipo)
Also thanks... our first Princess sailing (yep, we’ll be lowly blue) is on the Crown (25+ years on other lines) with CC in the Med.

I have had a hard time getting a refund from them for a cruise that was cancelled... I gave over a weeks notice... as much notice as I had... still out 300 bucks

Did they help you out and take care of your refund? I can always try and see what they say. We loved the island so much we are moving to it .... come on divers, it’s a Paradise.

Correct - the five minutes is only between alcoholic beverages. Tip the bartenders from time to time and sometimes even that policy is overlooked.

Booked! Thanks folks. Time to follow more threads here and on the "other" site for tips and hints. Pushing the purse strings for Club Class!

Great comments so far, very informative. We have a hold on a cabin, just need to decide to push the button or not.... KP may be in our 2018 plans. Thanks, keep the comments coming. B&B

OK - here it is, we are Carnival cruisers for the last 25+ years (with a couple scattered NCL/RCCL sailings) and looking at a 14day Med sailing on the CP for the fall of 2018. Im asking here (and that other site) for the good, the bad, and the ugly of Princess and the CP in particular, especially from anyone with years on the "other" line. We'll likely be up on the Dolphin Deck and pull out all the stops for this one.

Thanks for the review and pictures!
We've been on the Chef's Table a few times and have been told that they always make WCMC 3 ways, Well Done, Medium and Rare (so mostly cake, balanced and mostly melted). You can ask for it that way.
I've also had some servers look at me weird when I ask for it that way the first time, but by the 2nd or 3rd day our server always says "Mr Bloom, WCMC, medium rare, 2 ice-creams?" ;)
Wow!! 25years of WCMC and I've never heard that. It just shows that we can all learn something new every day (even here on CC).

Someone may be confusing the bottomless bubbles (I.e. soda) card with the Cheers (includes alcohol) program. For Texans, no Cheers booze until day #2, due to conservative state laws.

Any recent comments or experiences with Mark Haven (currently on the Valor).
I'm always amazed at some of the comments here.
With 25years of sailing, we have never had a "bad" PBE -- just some more experienced than others. We have had the privilege of breaking-in a few who were on their first Carnival PB contract - even their first sailing, some including this guy named Ben Gentry and a couple others over the years are still there.

Prohibited items can be brought onboard, but you need to turn them in to security during your time onboard. That's not a problem since no responsible drone flyer would even think of using it onboard anyway. When you dock, just collect the UAV and when you return to the ship you hand it over again.
If you contact the cruiseline before you cruise it's possible to bring a UAV.
The cruiseline that I cruised on for 21nts in a row with mine, also lists UAV's as prohibited items.
Actually, Carnival allows them to be kept in your cabin for use off e ship in ports, I'm sure other lines have other policies. Thanks!

I had no problem in:
Aruba
Boniare
Grenada
St Thomas
Antigua
Barbados
Just fly with respect for other people .
@ExtraKim, great information, thanks for sharing.

OK ... I'm really going to try and target this thread to other UAV pilots who fly while in port. Many islands will allow UAVs, away from commercial areas of course, while some do not, and others have no official policy. I'm looking to hear what islands and what locations operators have enjoyed the most. Also, if you have run into issues on some islands, I'd be interested to hear your experiences.

i am using Carnival's $99 Internet. It has been slow at times but overall very much worth having.
Agreed. We were pleasantly surprised. speed tests showed ~2M d/l speeds most of the time.

Love it ... Especially the Quattro between 2-3am.

Wow ... It's amazing when I'm away from CC for awhile and come back to some of the same trolling, but since you casted out.
Fantasy Class: love them, great smaller ships with some of the best crews in the fleet.
Enforcing the current rules on MDR dress codes, kids in hot tubs, seat saving, chair hogs -- absolutely should be done and done consistently across the fleet.
Steel Drums on the lido: yes
MDR faster service: NO, we and many others enjoy a relaxed 1 1/2 to 2 hour dinner, meeting table mates, wait staff, learning something new from others.
Serenity: we've never really noticed a problem with kids there.
Smoke in the casino: not a problem. Anti-Smoking ****s pushed for the policy changes, now suck it up buttercups.

We sail our first Princess cruise (25 years of other lines) this fall and will have CC on the Crown ... sounds like it’ll be worth it... [emoji736]
