  1. Just wanted to know if you actually got into Tracy Arm to see the glaciers or if there was too much ice? I'm leaving June 7th to go, and would like a "heads up". Thanks!

I will also be on the June 7th cruise :) From what I recall the cruise that ended/start today had/have Glacier Bay in their itinerary. May 28th is the first out of San Francisco with Tracy Arm Fjord.

I've been checking marine traffic on a daily basis and no cruise ships have gone into Tracy Arm, the couple of ships that I have seen who had Tracy Arm on their itinerary have gone up Endicott Arm :(

  2. The price on the 14 day cruise from Quebec to Fort Lauderdale has come down quite a bit since I booked at the end of last year. Booked a category OW in December with the twice as nice sale so also got a nice amount of obc. I've had two price adjustments done since booking, saving a considerable amount without losing any of the obc.

  3. If they have never sailed Princess before you might want to do a referral before you do the BVE. That way, if they do decide to book and sail within two years, they will each get $25 OBC and you will get $25 OBC for each of them which can be used on a future cruise. I think they can also buy a Future Cruise Credit while on board during the BVE.

Wish I had thought of this before signing my adult kids up for the BVE on my upcoming cruise.

  4. I called Princess this morning trying to book the BVE for Saturday on the Grand. Unfortunately, it has to be booked 6days in advance. Bummer! It would be a great way to see the festivities away from the throngs that will line the Embarcadero. Not to mention an extra two hours on board due to the later 6:00pm departure. I'm just a few days too late! :(

I booked the BVE back in May on the Grand when I discovered it would be in port for Fleet Week. Unfortunately the boarding passes have a 1pm boarding time and we will need to be off by 5:30pm. We plan on getting to the port for the normal BVE boarding time of 11:00am in the hope we can get on earlier, if not we will at least have a great view for the majority of the air show.

  5. We also got off the Grand yesterday. Sounds like it was a good thing that we had changed our given meeting time from 10:30am to 7:20am. When we joined the line to get off we were standing near the Wheelhouse Bar. The line moved quite quick once it started moving. After passing through the Vista Lounge we were then directed to the dining room on deck 6 which was a holding room as the ship had not yet been given clearance for passengers to disembark. After only a few minutes wait, clearance was given and off went. We walked to BART and were home in the East Bay by about 9:15am.
