  1. Was on Victory December 9-14, 2013 and was worried about the reviews of this being an older ship but I was impressed with the ship and the crew was very friendly. They were always cleaning and I would sail on Victory again with no hesitation.

Was on this same sailing. Crew is amazing, ship is awesome. I still love the green ceiling in the lobby. Had a blast and met some great new friends. Go and enjoy yourself like I did.

  3. There are several large parking lots along the river and I have seen cars and motorcycles parked here. They are paying lots but well lit at night. I personally park there all the time when in the area. They are closer to the aquarium/riverwalk/jackson square area than the port. However. The ship has to pass along the river here to come in and out. Was great when I was in NOLA a few weeks ago and watched the 4pm sail away.

  4. I'm not sure I'd want a blue cake. Though, I'd love a slice of this on the cruise....except its not a carbival product.

I will admit, I love good cheesecake. And desserts for that matter. My friends constantly give me request lists of my baking.

    PS. I do share recipes

  5. I love collecting my sand too! I think my sand (and my shells and seaglass) are my favorite things I have brought back from my vacations. Well, other than my Carnival Victory Ship on a Stick! :D

I'd love to see what your bottles look like. I'll try to find a pic of my bottles too

They are not very tall and hold a good amount of sand. Liked these more than others as they don't have corks which could shrink over time. I still have tags to make but one for each island on my trip.

  6. I bought some little jars to take with us for sand so we don't have to worry about baggies and will make tags for them. Ill have to go unpack one of each bottle to show pic of the kind I got. Bought them on sale at Hobby Lobby. Want a collection of bottles of sand for each Island I ever visit in the Caribbean.

  7. My geocaching gps is a Magellan eXPlorist GC made for geocaching. I preload my caches for whereever i am going and use cell phone when i have data just for extra info if needed.

Very accurate. Can find them for between $120-200online depending where you look.

  8. Brought my GPS (Ipad 3g) to the caribbean but could not get the gps to work once we left Ft Lauderdale. Went to the southern and western caribbean. The entire time it showed me as either in Port Everglades or the GPS reported "No Fix". Frustrated as heck!

You needed wifi/network service to work with ipad. Gps uses satellites in space
