  1. I have used SAS twice. One time was great and one time I felt stressed out over the driver. When you are given a time - they should stick to it and changing it multiple times - that's not good imo.

The driver worried the crap out of me by texting several times the night before and changed my pick up time twice. Day of cruise - he started texting me 30 minutes early because they were over booked and had me to pick up 1st but logistically I should have been 2nd. So he needed to pick me up earlier than agreed upon.

So I say the experience - it's the driver you get. That driver said he was gonna get fired for being late when they booked the route - not him.

    Good luck.

Our driver called the morning of pickup and wanted to get us like an hour early. I was hesitant as that would get us to the dock way too early but turned out to be a good thing. The shuttle was FULL and since we were first, we had no problem finding seats!

  2. I have read that Nachi is more for adults who want a quiet relaxing beach day. Since you have a teen you might want to do one of the others that were mentioned. That is the reason I chose Sanchos, I had 3 teens with me.

  3. We were at both ports in April.

In Cozumel we did Mr Sanchos. We had a great time, but when we were there, the beach area was being pounded by some pretty good waves. The water wasn't clear as you picture it in the Caribbean. Its the only time we've been there so Im assuming it was just the state of the ocean that day. We ended up moving to the pool which has a swim up bar and tables and stools in the water and it was a blast. I believe they close at 5 (or 6) cant remember but its on their website. You should be able to make it back in plenty of time.

The prices to get there from the port are listed on a board right where you get into the taxi. For the three of you it shouldn't be bad. My only complaint was that we had an 18 month old who put us up to the next price bracket. I didn't think they would charge for him as he was on his mothers lap but they did.

In Grand Cayman we did Nativway Tours for the second time. The tour we chose toured the island, stopped at the rum cake store, Hell, Turtle Farm and then take you out to Stingray Sandbar. Its not a real high class operation but we found it sufficient and had a good time both times we did it.

One thing that happened this year that didn't last, was the ship never had us change our clocks so we were an hour different from island time. We had to make sure to tell our tour guide that and reminded him a couple times. It was BUSY on the roads this year and we were sweating that we wouldn't make it back and end up missing the last tender to the ship, but when we pulled into the port area, the line getting back onto the tenders was LONG so we ended up there in plenty of time.

  4. Ahh, great review. Your pics of the ship brought back some great memories. We were getting off the ship the day you got on. We were in St Thomas LAST year so those were some great ones as well!

The main complaint we had with the Breeze was that the "open" times for some of the food venues and they weren't really open. Other than the actual restaurants it seemed you had few choices of food at times you would have thought they would have been open. The app said open but when we went, they were all shuttered up.

  5. Great shots of the eagle. Ive seen them around occasionally but just flying by, nothing to get pics of.

Great concert shots as well. Im surprised they allowed you to bring in that size camera. Id love to bring mine in but Im afraid they would turn me back and Id have to leave it in the vehicle during the show....nope, not happenin!

  6. We were on the Breeze in April with my 19 month old grandson. German in the dining room was great with him. Whenever he would get fussy, German was right there talking to him, making balloons with faces to knock back and forth with him, took him out and danced with him when the music started playing...it was great.

  7. We did a tour in Ocho with Courtney Taylor Tours. It was ok and since we had never been to Jamaica we enjoyed it but not really impressed with that area. We went to Blue Hole which was fun but basically like a more local, smaller version of Dunns River. If you are into the food, we did stop at Scotchies which had some good food. I had seen it recommended on other posts so wanted it included in the tour.

Taylor will customize a tour to your wishes if that's something you are looking for.

  8. I would keep an eye as you get closer to your departure. We were on the Breeze in April and a couple months before, we got an email that they were switching from Ocho to Falmouth (or Montego Bay, cant remember now). A week or so later after everyone was scrambling to change excursions etc, it was mysteriously switched back. On their website, some people saw the change on their itineraries and some didn't. Never found out why that happened but food for thought anyway.

  9. If you follow the deck that is along the top of the Breeze sign forward, we were standing on that top rail with all those people but toward the front end of it. In the picture you posted the way it is situated, if you zoomed in under the orange bowl of the slide we would probably be in that area.

where were you located on the ship? I took more pics of the Breeze.
  10. Hi racepoint,

We had this room on our 12 day repo last spring. We were very happy with it but being our first cruise didnt have anything to compare it to either.

What would you like to know about it? Turning left out of the room is close to the elevator and right is a long hallway walk to the next elevators. Once you get your bearings on which elevator is close to what you want its easy going. This was our first cruise so it took us a bit to get oriented.

Im sure he has rotated out but our steward, Rodell, was great. Very attentive and always helpful and making sure we had what we needed.

I have a couple of pics. Do you have a place I can send them to you rather than having to resize etc for posting here?
