Royal Up offers may only be sent to the first person on the booking.
That's a good point to consider. My wife never got them when I was #1 position. Could set up my son with a cruising only email linked to his C&A account.

Total cost of the insurance for the cruise, for the two of you, will be the same regardless of who is listed first or second.
If I put in the total non-refundable fares BOGO60 individually, I get cheaper rates no matter the insurer if I'm in position #2. Insurance rates are based on trip costs not being equal and not splitting total trip costs.

When booking a cruise, does it really matter who is in position #1 vs #2 on the confirmation? I'm 60 years old and my son is 32. If I put myself in #2 position, do I still get to keep the same control of the booking for changes and cancellation? By putting myself in #2 position the cruise insurance is much cheaper for me as my cruise fare is 60% off vs position #1. The cruise insurance, although the same policy, is by individual fares, not total combined fares as the fare amounts are different.
Thanks.

Best bet. Change to solo and then a few days later change the ship
That is an excellent idea. Thanks so much, your expertise is greatly appreciated on this board.

Rather than start a new thread, this title fits so I am piggy backing on it.
Currently booked CPV Inside on Icon for 2026. 3 Adult Persons $750 NRD ($250ea.). If I cancel, change sail date and book as a solo, do I pay only $100 penalty on the new booking as it is only 1 person change, or is it still $300 penalty even though the other 2 passengers are no longer sailing and are not changing? @Ourusualbeach

We'd like to see RC got back to 6:PM and 8:30 PM TD and same times for MTD. We hate the later start time for MTD and not thrilled with the 5:30 start time for early TD. But we've gone back to early TD. We don't cruise on the huge ships. Freedom class is the biggest we've been on.
We always did the MTD until they changed it to the late seating times (7pm & later). We since changed to the early seating. I wonder once implemented, if they will phase out MTD altogether and you will just pick 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

Ok, called C&A today to try again, rep said was $100 cruise change fee. I responded, "it just gets added to the invoice and gets paid with final payment.?" He said yes, and went ahead and made the change. No additional funds needed. RCL, consistently inconsistent.

You can move them to a different ship and sail date for a $100pp change fee which if your deposit is more that $200 it may be worth looking in to,
Can the NRD $100p/p change fee just be added to the invoice for the new cruise or must you pay for the change with credit card at the time of change? Over the years I have changed cruises several times and they just added the $100p/p change fee to the invoice, no additional payments needed. Most recent April '23. Called today and C&A agent said must pay the change fee now. Was there a change made to the policy?

We have 1 room booked for my DW and myself. Our adult children just decided they wanted to come, so I will be booking their room separately with different reservation number. I plan on linking the reservations. Can I use my credit card for their on-board account when we check in or does the credit card have to be in their name?

Have done many 12N cruises out of Baltimore and Cape Liberty. Only 2 formal, normally day-2, 1x on day-3 and day-10 or day-11.

For me up $48.26 as a solo.

We booked Inside Guarantee once and was assigned worst room on the ship IMHO, Deck 2 as far forward in the bow as you could go. Ended up re-booking and picking our interior stateroom. Would never do that again. However, Balcony Guarantee is fine and have done that several times.

I still can't get my C&A number to work for bookings. It doesn't seem to register when I put it in and still can't get any balcony discounts across all web browsers. Are others still having this issue?
-
Still no Crown & Anchor Balcony discounts either.

We have filed a number of claims over the past decade. Our earlier claims were through Nationwide Cruise Insurance. These were settled within a month each time from documentation submission. For the last several years we use iTravelInsured [IMG iTI SE and IMG iTI LX] through the already mentioned TripInsuranceStore.com. Our most recent claim was this past fall for a B2B. Claim was settled in about 7-8 weeks.

I cancelled due to my wife being treated for late stage cancer. Other than cancellation number I didn't receive any documentation. I ended up calling C&A, explained that I needed a document that the cruise was cancelled and showing the cancellation charges. Resolutions ended up writing a letter and emailing it to me.

Based on what we have spent so far for cruising, it would cost us a total of $161,405 to make pinnacle. Currently D+. Majority inside cabins with a few balconies and a GS. Driving 66% and flying 34% to cruise ports. We cruise off peak. (Does not take inflation into consideration going forward.)

Looking for anyone who has had experience with security and the security photo for boarding the ship. My wife is being treated for cancer and has lost all her hair. She normally just wears a chemo head scarf or cap. For security photo at pier check in, she plans on wearing a wig since she does not wish to be photographed bald. Once on board she will switch back to her normal head scarf or cap. If she gets off in Coco Cay wearing only the headscarf or cap, when she boards will they make her completely remove it, let her to just lift up the front or let her board with the head scarf/cap on? [Note: She is clear to travel.]
Thanks

SetSail Pass was maagicly there this morning.

Finished checking in for our cruise on Sunday using the APP. Says all checked in. When I try to get SetSail Pass, get message "Sorry, can't show SetSail Pass. Please proceed to check-in counter." Doesn't matter whether I use my account or my wife's. Tried printing out paper copy from computer using Edge, FireFox and Chrome. Cleared Cache and Cookies and also tried private mode. When I click on Get SetSail Pass link, just get a white blank screen. Has anyone else had this issue?

I checked my spam folder for the last four days, not there

Call C&A again. If they have the cancellation number, they should have the amount.
I also called C&A back again and was told same thing, they can't email me anything. Waiting on hold for resolutions now.
Panama Canal- east bound vs west?

Being from the east coast, I recommend west to east. You gain time flying to the west cost which gives you more time to unwind after the flight the day before. While cruising, you slowly unwind the 3 time zones on the voyage to FL or LA so you really won't notice it. Disembarking in FL or LA then leaves a 2.5 clock hour flight home to PA (PHL) vs CA to PA (PHL) being 8 clock hours (5 flight + 3 time zones). Adding in airport hours before and after departure, the drive home depending on distance from airport [although all same E vs W], makes for an extremely long day from CA after a relaxing vacation.
