No. All the pools on Princess are free with the exception of the aft pool on the Island and Coral which is within the Sanctuary itself. All other pools are not in the Sanctuary.

I have asked for a topper before sailing on 7 of our cruises. And seven times I have had to ask the room stewart to bring one! As Pam said, don't count on it!

 

Mattresses seem to be a hit or miss. Sometimes you can get a good one, sometimes you get a lemon!

 

I also travel with my own pillow - poor thing has gone to as many countries and ports as I! But I seem to sleep much better with it over the pillows offered. Might be worth bringing yours with you too.

Please don't be disappointed if it's not. Often, requests directly from Princess or the website don't make it to the cabin steward and helpers who are making up the cabin. Your steward will stop by on embarkation day and take any special requests. Check to see if the mattress topper is on and if it isn't, ask him or her for it. It'll be done during nighttime turndown.

I phoned Princess this morning to see about requesting a mattress pad for our room on our upcoming sailing. He put in the request right then and there and said it should be in our cabin when we arrive.

7 of us are on the Caribbean Princess on April 19th and just have a few questions...

 

 

-In Roatan does the ship dock at Mahogany Bay or Coxen Hole?

 

-With Anytime Dining can you make reservations ahead of time, or is it best to go to the dining room when we first get on the ship to make them? Also, can we request the same table for multiple nights?

 

-On formal nights will men be allowed into the dining room with a dress shirt, slacks, and tie? Or is a suit jacket mandatory?

 

-Besides the MDR, where can you get made-to-order omelettes for breakfast?

Hey there! I just wanted to say my husband and I will be on the same sailing! If you have not already joined the roll call on here there is one. only 51 more days! It is our first time on Princess too!

Thanks so much for sharing! We have done two Carnival cruises and my husband and I will be going on our first Princess cruise in April. We were wondering about the differences between Carnival and Princess. I have read other reviews that give some differences, but I love they way you broke it down.

Hey all! Since there were several posts about the weather I thought I would see if anyone has sailed in April before? How was the weather at Cozumel, Belize, & Roatan? How was the ocean?

We have sailed in Feb & May so I just thought I would ask about April.... Thanks!

I went online myself to try and find it and I did find rates that were cheaper than what I was being told by CS rep., but it was not the rate that was on the mailer.

I kinda want to call back to see about speaking to a supervisor, but I am not sure. We are trying to decide between Carnival and giving Princess a try. Right now Princess' rates seem to be unbeatable.

Does the Caribbean Princess still offer Zumba? If so are there extra fees for it?

Yeah it is Carnival. It is a past guest promo. They found the promo code but nothing was listed at the rates for the 7 day on the Magic (which the promo specifically stated).

Anthony (CS rep) was great he really tried to help, but they had no clue on what I was talking about. I guess I should have scan or faxed in the brochure so they could see I was not crazy - lol

So I just got a mailer on Saturday quoteing specific rates for 7 Day on the Magic and when I called to see what the dates were for those rates they could not seem to find those rates! They could not even find the promo on the card.

The guy was nice and he tried, but he could not find those rates anywhere and he talked to a supervisor and was told that apparently those "rates" are limited and once they are booked they can't find them anywhere.

So, I am frustrated! Not so much that I did not get the rate, but more so that they would send out a mailer with false advertisement on it. They apparently could not even find what mailer I was talking about when I gave them the code.

Sorry for the vent!

I am wondering if we could use it to pay towards the Cheers program or use it for the first day and pay cheers on the 2nd day :D

how would this bar credit affect the Cheers program if you get it? just wondering.

I have not been on either of the two ships you are asking about but I am a mother of three teens and I would go for the Sunshine out of those two. Hope it helps! Either way, have fun!
