Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I think its the food options and more fancy bars than the actual size. It would be hard to have all the food and beverage options from the Excel class on a smaller class ship, but it would be nice. I haven't been on a Conquest class ship in 8 years but can't imagine how bland it would be since sailing the Excel/Vista classes. I don't think you will see a new ship built smaller than the Vista class these days. Not on a major cruise line anyways.
  2. They already are!! There is only so many times I can go to Amber Cove and San Juan....
  3. Now the question is where will the next two home port? I can't imagine they would go to SOCAL with all the parking issues they currently have. Another in Miami and another in PC? I don't think they will fit under the bridge to get to NYC, but that would be awesome!
  4. Just saw the other day that a 5 year old turned Diamond. Tough life that kid has!
  5. As mz-s stated, all rumors which included this: Carnival has been considering changing the VIFP program to a spend-based system, rather than one based on the number of nights sailed. Under this new system, members would earn points based on the amount of money spent on their cruise. So nothing.
  6. Thats what you get when you own a mining company! 100 Million dollar yacht, "Savanah" owned by Lukas Lundin. Must be nice....
  7. This cruise is wild so far. Long lines, no working app, no dinner, no delivery and now two dinners. Lets keep it going!
  8. Can I receive a refund on any unused portion of the Carnival Gift Card amount that was applied towards my Sail and Sign account while onboard? Any unused portion or overage of the Gift Card that was applied toward your Sail and Sign account will be issued in the form of another Carnival Gift Card. If you buy cruise cash, yes it states that if you don't use it all you are out the money, but if you have left over money go to the casino and toss it all in the slot machine, then cash out. I will always by cruise cash in advance to "pre-pay" my Sail and Sign. Then the last sea day I go to the casino an cash it out. No lost money! https://carnival.ourgiftcards.com/faq
  9. The party cruises are the 3-4-5 day cruise from FL to the Bahamas and even those you can enjoy the cruise, just a younger crowd. You will be fine!! So many people are booze free on carnival ships. What ship are you looking at?
  10. Vista. More entertainment and options. Plus its an extra day!
  11. How bad are the seas? I was reading that a lot of people have been mad about the entire cruise, weather and the seas tossing the ship around (can't do anything about it). Also heard that one guy on deck one is confined to his room because he said "this ship is rocking and rolling so much that I might go overboard". Someone took it that he was going to jump overboard and now security is outside his room for the duration of the cruise. This seems to be a wild cruise for some!
  12. This is exactly what I was going to say. Get on the ship and go to the back pool on deck 8. Hang there until things settle down. I was on the Celebration with 108% capacity. Never felt overly crowded. As far as mobility, be prepared for extremely slow elevators and when it opens for you, it will most likely be full. I gave up on the elevators and took the stairs everywhere. Hope it goes well.
  13. It was nice to read a review that was honest and upbeat, specifically from someone who doesn't cruise Carnival! Looks like you all hand a wonderful time! You will love your Mardi Gras cruise in 2025!!
  14. I assume you booked this cruise to try the ship and not the itinerary? At least the sun is out today!
  15. Sounds like it is more of a port of NYC and security issue than a Carnival issue. When all the names are run through DHS databases something flagged on your husband.
