Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. No promotions for moving people around. Hubby and I both receive occasional casino offers. When we booked this cruise, his offer was for a 'free' cabin (plus a fee, plus port fees, etc. Plus the price to upgrade if he wanted anything other than a random interior cabin. So not free but a deep discount off the sticker price.) My offer was for a Drinks On Us! card and an onboard credit. We initially booked two cabins for four people, him and his dad in one and me and son in the other. When son's GF's parents agreed she could join us, neither promotion we booked under was still active. It would have cost a LOT more if hubby had cancelled his reservation to change to a 3 person cabin. I only lost my drink card and onboard credit, so we cancelled my reservation and rebooked the 3 person cabin in my name. There were no promotions for moving people around. I was concerned that moving people around would jeopardize the promotions we are booked under. Hope that clears things up some. 🙂
  2. lmao! Hubby, FIL, and son will be in one cabin. Son will have the upper bunk. Son's GF and I will be in another cabin. If I catch FIL crashed on a lounger at 2am I'll let you know! rofl
  3. Thank you all for this information! So it sounds like it doesn't really matter too much who is assigned to each cabin, we can plan to give each of us access to the rooms we'll actually be sleeping in without it causing an issue as far as promotional perks and such, as long as we all go to guest services together once we're on board. Does that sound accurate?
  4. Ha! Me, hubby, FIL, son, and son's girlfriend. I don't know if "party" is the right word. lol
  5. Five of us are cruising in July. Essentially we will have a cabin for the 3 guys and a cabin for the 2 gals, though due to how promotional offers were made the cabin assignments don't exactly line up with that. Does anyone know if mine and/or my husband's cards can be set to open either room? Or, once we all show up to check in, can we request that the names be moved around to reflect how we'll actually be staying in the cabins? Or will that invalidate the offer rates we booked under? Hubby thinks that as long as we all show up to board, Carnival won't really care where any of us sleep and will be fine changing cabin assignments. I'm not so certain. For the record the cabins are not connecting, they're not even adjacent to each other. Nearby but no way to go from one to the other. TIA for any information.
  6. We just did this when we added my son's girlfriend to our cruise. The catch for us was that we had two cabins booked on casino offers - and those were no longer available. So I lost my onboard credit and drink card when we rebooked 'my' cabin to a 3 person, and we had to pay the difference based on the current rate for the 3 person cabin. 😞 Also that meant we are no longer in adjacent cabins. *sigh* Fortunately for us, before we sailed, we got new postcards with casino offers. It cost us $70 to rebook - again - with the new 'promotion' but that got me $50 onboard credit and a drink card. Since I'm certain I'll save more than $20 in drinks it was worth it for us. We had paid in full already and yes all that transferred to the new booking without any issues at all. Bottom line it is definitely doable (obviously as long as cabins for 3 are still available,) but be sure you ask what perks you may lose if your original booking had *anything* on it that was a limited time promotion.
