  2. We decided to head back to the ship around 4pm. We cross the bridge to head back to the hotel lobby….. A dive boat and a tour boat have just returned to the marina….. 3. We grabbed an empty daybed at the far end of the pool and this is where Patti and I hung out for the rest of the afternoon. We relaxed, swam, and drank all the beer and wine that our servers kept forcing on us! We watched as the Celebrity Equinox sailed away from Bonaire….. The Carnival Spirit is now all alone in Kralendijk….. Later in the afternoon the pool began to get "crowded". lol..... To be continued…..
  4. While sitting at our table we could watch the divers and snorkelers float around….. We finished eating, grabbed a drink from the bar, and began to head back to the pool. There is a Dive Shop right across from the Beach Buffet. Apparently, you have to pay a fee to be able to snorkel or dive in the waters of Bonaire….. We made it back to the pool and for a while I had it all to myself….. To be continued…..
  5. We didn’t even realize it at first. But there is even another room with more goodies….. The Beach Buffet Ladies Room….. To be continued…..

Patti uses this opportunity to take some pictures. Here are a couple shots of the beach near the Beach Buffet…. The coast here is also very rocky……. Here are some steps for divers and snorkelers to get into the water….. Looking back towards the Palm Beach Bar…… You got a good view of the ships in the distance….. To be continued…..
  9. Thanks for following along! I had heard that in the past that the Plaza Resort would take walk ups for day passes no problem. Carnival used to sell excursions that went there. No longer. Now you have to work to get in but it's worth it. I'll be posting more about it very shortly.....
  10. We love the Barcelo Aruba and have been there several times. We'll be covering it again on our current review. Saint Greg usually likes to take a tour the first time he visits a port. I have recommended the North Coast Jeep Safari.
  11. Thanks Barb! I'll be posting some more later on this evening. have a great Sunday!
  12. Thanks for reading! Yes, it's a shame about how Jack's is being run now, but hopefully the owners will see the negative reviews and do something about it.
  13. Food, drinks, loungers, towels, more food, more drinks, etc, etc.
  14. Thanks Jen. Always glad to have you along! Thanks for reading. Yes, it was all-inclusive.
  15. I’m calling this page Patti’s Plaza Beach Resort flora, fauna, and critters….. To be continued…..
  16. The coastline here is rocky, which is why this resort caters to those who dive and snorkel….. From here you get a good view of the ships in port….. This is the ladies room by the pool…. So, where are you supposed to throw it? To be continued…..
  17. These are the Palm Beach Bar menus…. These aren’t our drinks, but they sure looked good….. I’m going to hang out at the Beach Bar for a while and consume more Heinekens. Patti heads off to explore. Here are some views of the area around the Palm Beach Bar….. Here are a few beach views….. To be continued…..
  18. Once across the bridge, we go through this building and come upon the pool which is huge….. We make these chairs our home base for today…. Here are a couple more pool area pictures….. This is the beach taken from the pool area….. We head to the nearby Palm Beach Bar….. Patti and I have our first drinks of the day….. To be continued…..
  19. Here are some views of the lobby area of the Plaza Beach Resort….. Once outside we see that there is a marina right in the middle of the property….. We have to cross this bridge to go to the other side….. To be continued……..
  20. I met Patti at the taxi stand….. When we got in the taxi and told the driver where we were going, she asked us if we had our letter. Wow, this place sounds like Fort Knox! It was really just a short ride over there, and if you are able bodied you can easily walk there….. At the security gate our driver told the guard that we had our letter, so he let us enter. Notice the sign? As we made our way through the lobby to the front desk to check in, with all that it took to get here, I expected a mean, grumpy person to be there! No, this is Sherin, and she was a sweetheart! She’s even been on several Carnival cruises! After paying our $85 per person fee, Sherin explained how to get to where we needed to go, gave us our towels, and sent us on our way….. To be continued…..
  21. The Carnival Spirit was docked in Kralendijk, Bonaire at 8:30am, and almost immediately was cleared for passengers to debark. Our day pass hours at the Plaza Resort are from 9am to 6pm. Patti knew from our previous visits here that most of the shops close at 6pm, so she asked me if she could have a 45 minute head start so she could check out the craft market. Of course I said yes. She left the ship at 9am. Patti took these shots from the pier. The Celebrity Equinox is also in Kralendijk today….. Patti took these shots in the area by the pier….. To be continued…..
