  1. Patti was the first to leave the cabin, as she wanted to check out the shops, and get to the early bird bingo card sales. Around 11 am I went to play blackjack for a little while, losing about $100. I then went to the Casino Bar and had a drink with Angela, before heading up to Chopsticks for a plate. Patti made it up to the Lido for the Groove for St. Jude……. DJ OJ was spinning the tunes….. Patti then made her way to the Follies Theater, passing the forward Camelot Pool and hot tub on the way….. Patti made it to Follies in time to see the Magic Mystery Show with Suraj, Carnival’s table magician. She said that the show was very good…… Immediately after was the Q & A with Cruise Director Gabe….. To be continued……
  2. Day # 6 - 9/2/22 - Fun Day at Sea # 3. We were up at 7 am to a mostly sunny day. The temperature was 81 degrees, and the seas are fairly calm. Here is our view looking forward and aft as the Carnival Legend makes her way back to Baltimore….. Here are today’s “Fun Times”……. Here are the invites to the VIFP party later today….. Around 8:30 am we made our way up to the Lido for some breakfast. Afterwards, we came back to the cabin for a while. We completed our ArriveCan for the next leg of our cruise, and then I spent some time working on our pictures. Patti took this opportunity to sit out on the balcony for a while, as it was very nice out there….. To be continued…..
  3. The Patriots have won the Championship, so now I can get back to the review. Stay tuned! 😎
  4. Thanks so much! We are enjoying your review as well. Love your style! 😎
  5. Our favorite day when on a Journeys cruise. Frog racing, horse racing, bingo with actual balls, great dinner menu, and possibly a midnight buffet. Enjoy! 😁
  6. Wishing you a speedy recovery Barb! That's why we were so worried about our onboard testing for the Canada leg.
  7. Hey gang! Our Patriots are in the finals so we have games tonight and hopefully tomorrow. I'll be back to posting full time once the finals are over. Thanks for your patience! 😎
  8. Hey Barb! Glad you made it. Sorry that the weather played havoc with your cruise. We had to deal with some rain, but we didn't miss any ports. I need to get in touch with Mike and Judi, it's been a while. 😎
  9. Glad to have you aboard with us once again! We were really nervous about our onboard Covid test, but it all worked out! 😎
  10. Here are our bread plates and accompaniments….. The amuse bouche was a potato and cheese something or other. It was very good….. We both had the jumbo shrimp cocktail….. Patti also had the French onion soup, while I had the mushroom risotto….. For her main, Patti had the lobster with a baked potato with all the fixings….. I had the spice rubbed ribeye with wasabi mashed potatoes, and three mustard sauce….. We both had and enjoyed the apple tart with vanilla ice cream…… It was an excellent dinner all around! Patti was stuffed, so she decided to head back to the cabin. I went to the Sports Bar for a drink, and then headed to the Punchliner to catch Randy Kagan’s “R” rated show. As usual, I got my corner bar seat with a perfect sightline to the stage….. Randy Kagan performs at The Punchliner Comedy Club….. He was very funny. I gave him an 8.5 out of 10. Afterwards, I stopped at the Casino Bar and had a couple with Angela before heading back to the cabin for the night. The laundry that Patti sent out this morning has returned….. Here is tonight’s towel animal…… Tonight, we set our clocks back an hour to get back on Eastern Daylight Savings Time. We also received our invites to the VIFP party tomorrow. Coming up next: Another fun day at sea!
  11. Tonight, is the second Cruise Elegant night, and we have a 6 pm reservation at the Nouveau Steakhouse….. We’re given a table by the window….. Looking out, you can see a storm in the distance….. Here we are at the Nouveau Steakhouse….. This is the Nouveau Steakhouse Bar….. The Chefs are hard at work….. We are treated to a beautiful rainbow….. To be continued…..
  12. A little before 3 pm, we head to the Firebird Lounge for our rapid antigen test, which is required for our next cruise. I think we were more nervous for this test then any of our previous tests, because we had read the many accounts of people saying they tested positive after debarking their cruises. When we got to the Firebird Lounge, we found that they hadn’t even begun setting up yet. You would have thought they would have already been ready for us! They finally set up for testing….. There were around 42 B2Ber’s that had to be tested, so it would take a little while. When we were done, they told us to go back to our cabin, and if we don’t hear from them in a half an hour, we were negative. So back to the cabin we went. That phone better not ring! Well, we beat the clock, and eventually we received the paper copy of our results….. Happy and relieved that it was over, we went down to the Casino Bar to celebrate with Angela. She was so happy that we would be sailing with her the next cruise….. Always working, Patti took shots of some of the Casino Bar menus….. To be continued……
  13. We are sailing past the Norwegian Getaway….. We are sailing past the fort…… Looking back at an empty Snorkel Park Beach and Fun Golf….. To be continued…..
  14. It never did stop raining, so we never left the ship. We sail at 1 pm, so Patti and I decide to watch our sail away from our balcony. Of course, now the rain stops! Time to throw the lines….. Now that the rain has stopped, the Floating Fun Park is getting some action….. We are now sailing from Bermuda….. To be continued……
  15. We watch another wave runner tour leave the Dockyard….. Here are some more rainy Dockyard pictures taken from our balcony. There are not many people out and about….. The Bermuda ferries keep running though….. To be continued…..
  16. Day # 5 - 9/1/22 - Bermuda day # 2 (back on board 12:30 pm). We were up at 7am, and our wishes didn’t come true. It is still pouring outside! If it stops raining, our plan is to walk over to the National Museum of Bermuda. In any event, here are today’s “Fun Times”….. We also received our B2B information last night. We are required to be tested to meet Canadian regulations, and that will happen at 3 pm this afternoon in the Firebird Lounge….. We head up to the Lido for breakfast, and afterwards head back to the cabin to wait (hopefully), for the rain to stop. Patti gets some laundry together to send out, and I work on the multitude of pictures that Patti took yesterday. Here are some more views of a rainy Dockyard….. To be continued…..
  17. Thanks for reading and your kind words! There's a lot more to come, as we're really just getting started!
  18. Here’s another view of the Norwegian Getaway docked at the Heritage Wharf…. The Carnival Legend docked at King’s Wharf….. Our cabin is up there somewhere….. Patti instructs me to board the ship, and then go stand out on our balcony. Of course, I comply….. Pretty much the camera was put away for the day at this point. We hung out in the cabin until 7 pm when they started selling the cards for tonight’s edition of Deal or no Deal…… The show started at 7:30. We have our cards, and our drinks are coming…… The first player won $350, the second player won $200, and our cards won $50, so we came out $10 ahead for the night. Afterwards, Patti decided to go to the Deli for a turkey wrap, and I went to Punchliner’s to see Matt Sadler’s 8:30 PG show. He was very funny for it being a PG show, so I’ll give him an 8.5 out of 10. I met Patti back at the cabin around 9:30. Here is tonight’s towel animal….. Coming up next: Rain, Rain, please GO AWAY!
  19. It was just about 5 pm and it was starting to rain again, so we decided to head back to the ship. The Carnival Legend is there waiting for us….. Looks like a wave runner tour is about to depart….. Here are a few pictures from around the pier area….. The Restless Native is returning to port….. Courtesy shuttles are lined up and waiting for those that need them….. To be continued…….
  20. Patti is inside the Clocktower Mall now….. Patti is back outside again, and on the move….. Earlier, I had told Patti that I was going to move from the Frog & Onion over to the Bonefish Bar & Grill, not to be confused with the chain restaurant. Patti met me there….. We had some drinks and a late lunch. I had the flat bread pizza, and Patti had the chicken tenders….. To be continued…..
  21. Here are a couple of views of the Norwegian Getaway and Carnival Legend docked at the Naval Dockyard….. Here are a couple more of those “wild” chickens….. Patti heads on over to the Clocktower Mall….. To be continued…..
  22. Patti’s Dockyard tour continues….. These orange courtesy shuttles will get you around the Dockyard for free…. To be continued…..
  23. Patti continues her Dockyard picture tour….. Here are a couple of flora and fauna shots….. This is one of the Train Trolley Tour trains….. To be continued…..
