  1. Not uncommon at all! On our last cruise...we had three of them!!!! It was crazy! We were on the Regal last week as well. What was curious to us is how soon after we cast off that they decided to turn back. I would have thought they would have just stayed. Members of our party saw the person as they were coming to dinner, before we left. But...I don't, nor do I want to make those decisions! I just hope the person was able to get the treatment they needed and are on the mend!!

  2. Thanks for the info. There are three of us, so at $8 pp, it would be more than a taxi. How do I figure out which pier we are to go to? Thanks! I think there are 6 ships in port that day and a holiday, so I was just concerned about the shuttle, wondering how busy the place would be, as well as how difficult it would be to get a taxi. Thanks.

  3. We were in a spa balcony on the Breeze in October. Don't book on the spa deck, book on 11. Top deck balconies are NOT covered. We had a rainy week, so limited our use of the balcony. DH used the spa more than I did, as I have a problem with heat. He loved the steam room. We like the location, as it was convenient to the pool!

  4. Just be aware that if by chance you think about a spa balcony...they aren't covered in the Breeze. We had a rainy week and couldn't use our balcony much. I would just get a spa pass rather than book the spa cabin. Not worth the difference in price. My husband loves the spa, but the t pool hits me wrong as I'm short and it's uncomfortable to sit on the benches. Have fun no matter what you decide!

  5. In case you havent gotten a good answer, I cruised the getaway last year for my honeymoon and had room 11912. The guy on the phone talked me out of the 13th floor and into the 11th, as its higher and more prone to noise/debris. Our room was fantastic. It wasnt the center balcony, but it was just to the right (ships right). Code B1

I actually just rebooked it for our first anniversary and going on May 23. Its so large, that we had two lounge chairs and I believe even two normal chairs with a table.

Its also plenty private and gets enough sun to where you can sunbathe in your birthday suit if ya want!

Also, since someone asked, room 11912 is only a room w/ a big balcony, no separate rooms so its just thru the normal door.

Awesome! I have this room booked for October!! Where is the bed in this one?

  6. Two questions....have searched and haven't been able to come up with the answer. How much is a single spa pass for the week on a 7 day on the Regal? And how do you reserve the Sanctuary?

    Thanks!!

  7. Last time we cruised out of FLL, I was watching a hotel thread that talked about how much taxi fare is from airport to hotels and from hotel to the port. I can't find it. I am thinking of booking the embassy suites on 17th, this is the one lots of people use, right? But didn't have any idea about taxi fare. CAn anyone chime in? Thanks!!!

  8. Not that you asked this, but I'll give my tip...we got off the Breeze two weeks ago, and had a spa cabin. I could not use the therapy pool. I'm too short! 5'2". There is a built in bench that is in a reclining position. If I sat on the bench the way it was angled, I ended up with my ears in the water, bubbles in my face! I tried any number of different ways to sit, but all were pretty uncomfortable. The bench takes up a large part of the pool. I could have stood in the pool, but that's not really that helpful or relaxing. I was pretty bummed, as I was looking forward to using it. My husband loved the steam rooms though, which are co ed too. He used those often.

  9. Just off the Breeze as well. We were originally to be in Grand Cayman on Tuesday, but diverted to Cozumel Monday afternoon, supposed to be there on Thursday. I felt so bad for the guest services desk! Also the shore excursion desk took a lot of heat as well. I went up and bought a bag of candy from a cherry on top for guest services, they deserved some sweetness in a sea of sour!! It was insane. We still had a good time on the ship, but definitely not the trip we anticipated!
