  1. Well I just spent the better part of an hour reading all your posts, what a great way to spend my Saturday. Can’t wait to follow you along..

Maureen..fellow New Englander here, but now in Florida...Go Pats ( no negative comments please)

We will be on Harmony 11/11..sailed the Allure in April but this one is going to be so much better. Can’t wait.

What is the periscope name for Al? I have Rick and Andrew.

Have a great safe trip, we followed you out of port on the web cam...hope the weather is blue skies all the way.

  2. I am on Harmony now. We did western Caribbean last week. And I still have the compasses on my desk. I will post them in the morning.

Wow that is so kind of you Sea Shepherd. I hope it was a good cruise. Were you on the Ghost Cruise as someone called it...post Irma only 1700 passengers? Did you have to do some maneuvering to avoid Maria? Hope it was a great cruise..Thanks again.

  3. I know all of the areas everyone is From here in Florida. I just retired from Publix after 40 years as a truck driver. Everyone on this thread that will be on the Harmony with us should join us. somewhere so we can have an Irma Survival drink and celebrate vacation!

Which Harmony sailing are you on? We survived Irma here in Fort Myers..

  4. Our big group had done Dunns River Falls as well so we opted to do The Blue Hole the second time and it was amazing. While it is a little similar, the Blue Hole is much more adventurous and fun. Everyone in our group absolutely loved it. We booked with Liberty Tours and they were outstanding. Ricardo was our guide for the tour and he was very friendly and accommodating. They came highly recommended on Trip Advisor.....that's how we found them. Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks for the imput. I contacted them about the tour and prices. I honestly was going to stay on the ship. I have never been excited about Jamaica. If he comes back with a decent price I may consider it. But thank you for the thoughts.

  5. The Margaritaville in Falmouth does have a small pool but I don't believe it is big enough to keep a group of teenagers interested for any length of time. The Falmouth port area is nice and clean with a variety of vendors and shops. I have read a lot of security warnings about crime in Jamaica so I would advise staying with either a ship's tour or a well known travel group. We are thinking about going to the Rose Hall Hilton for the day. Be safe and have fun!

I found a website that was resortforaday.com. It has packages to Rose Hall Hilton. Don't know how it compares price wise but I think it included transportation. I would be curious if you found a better price.

  6. I'm happy to read this. DW and I will be in Falmouth in October. Part of the reason for choosing the itinerary we did was because DW REALLY wants to see the falls. We recently found out she is pregnant and will be around 22 weeks when we cruise. When looking at the excursions through the cruise line, they all say pregnant women should not do the excursion. Hearing someone else successfully did it while pregnant helps a lot! :)

I found out I was pregnant after we booked our cruise oh so many years ago. We went to DRF and watched but there was no way I was taking a chance and climbing those falls and risking my baby. That was 27 yrs ago and I still haven't done them but I will some day. Protect your baby at all cost!

  7. Thank you all so much for your imput. I am feeling better. I really don't want eastern, just did it in October. My favorite of the S-class is definitely Equinox. We sailed it 3 times and each was awesome. I do love the glass blowing as well but really enjoy the lawn club too and the changes. I wish I could do the Equinox again but the dates don't ever seem to work for my work schedule. Can't wait for retirement!!

Again thank you or taking the time to write.. a very Happy Holidays to everyone.

  8. We sailed the Reflection 11/14 and said we would not sail it again. Had been on Solstice and the Equinox 3 times. They were night and day. I had the Silhouette booked but didn't want eastern so I hesitantly changed to Refection ( I can only sail on certain weeks). Reading reviews today it seems the Reflection has not improved in 2 years. I don't know how one ship can be so different regarding service within the same line. I am considering going back to the Silhouette despite the itinerary. The ship and service are more important to me.

I would appreciate any feedback...or possibly positive experiences on the Reflection.

    Thank you..
