  1. surprisingly they had bogo deals on certain drinks at the solarium on my recent serenade cruise. It wasn't announced, just a pleasant surprised when I ordered 2 mudslides.

I at best broke even with the select package and wouldn't sign up for another package. But then, my cruise had six consecutive port stops.

Beer was around 5.50 plus grat.

  2. Just got off serenade today and the Internet was so slow that my iPad couldn't get to the login screen

I also tried to sign up at the business center but wasn't able to get to log in screen.

Several days later I was able to get on but it took me over 20 minutes to go from main page to msn, to outlook, to outlook login.

I haven't seen speed like that since the 1200 baud days of the 80's

I spoke to several people who signed up and none were happy

  3. I have been redeeming points for onboard credit and was wondering what happens if I have a negating balance at the end of the cruise. I currently have about $800 after I misapplied a redemption. It was supposed to be 500 off payment but I put in $500 onboard credit. I called as soon as I realized mistake but it couldn't be changed

  4. No. If you use a discount it will not count towards your booking 3-5 reservations. I used my BOGO the first night. Then I booked 5 additional (including lunches) to get the 30% discount. Reservations were made onboard and the discount is taken off the cover charge. Beverages are not included.

How did you get a bongo discount ?

We have a 11 day coming up and I was debating on pre ordering

  5. I have a question if Virgin Pina Colodas would be covered by the Select package.

    This is from rcl website

Enjoy the convenience of our all-inclusive Select Beverage Package* to keep you refreshed throughout your voyage. Pay just one flat price and enjoy various beers, wines by the glass, plus non-alcoholic beverages for the duration of your cruise. Keep cool on deck with the alcoholic drink of your choice, or choose from a variety of non-alcoholic cocktails, fountain soda and juices. It's the ultimate in convenience and value. Cheers!

would this be considered a non alcoholic cocktail?

  6. I just cashed in 150,000 points for $1500 OBC for our cruise n September.

Once we get back we will stop using it....not worth it when there are so many other travel award cards to use.

I fully agree. I had mine for years but will switch to a different card. Possibly an airline card as flights are so expensive

  7. Not really meant for the OP, given the timeframe of this post now... but .

As I recall from past reading, there is a shuttle from the Crowne Plaza Hertz (also used by Crowne Plaza guests) to the port, but it's not free. Given the location, if it was more than 5 bucks per person, I would call a cab, since you are basically across the street from the port entrance. A return to the airport location would be an option as well and a cab ride would only be slightly more from there.

I am renting a car in Tampa and trying to return to this location but the website wont let me. I have to use the port everglades location which requires a bus ride to another location (1.9 miles away) and then take a shuttle over to the port
