Funny how it’s released….Ours is showing for Feb 24 2024 sailing without cabanas

For blended drinks …
Mango strawberry Daiquiri, Lava Flow & Blue Hawaiian (frozen or shaken) are my go-to’s!

They switched to the new menus on the 1/7 cruise, and the quality of what we were served over the two weeks has not improved. In fact, menu items that they got right the first week were totally screwed up the second week that we gave up even going there after the second night. The $7.95 room service dinner menu was actually orders of magnitude better than anything we were served in the MDR on either leg.
We were on Same Jan 7 cruise! We ended up booking remaining 6 nights at specialty restaurants which were delicious.
that’s so Unfortunate to hear but get it. the head waiter for our section was mentioning how stressful it was for culinary and servers to launch this new menu, especially to almost sold out sailings. We ended up ordering (when in MDR) the classic items (spaghetti, etc) Mexican night was the last time we were there… nice menu… just couldn’t execute
I imagine with practice they will get there, will take some time for consistency for sure.

I'm a little skeptical about that "polite" request being honored as requested. I have a feeling that if you politely ask that your escargots not be brought until you complete the soup (or vice versa), the escargots will just be sitting on the Server's work station until you are ready for it. Just a thought!
I hope that is not what you experienced.
Unfortunately that was the first meal experience and had both escargots and soup delivered at same time. Was caught off guard and ended up keeping the apps- but the request was made for remaining MDR meals moving forward.

Was just on Wonder, where new menus were launched. We dined only twice in MDR, however both nights for us were mediocre at best. While the election in the menu seemed a most refreshing change to the past few tested repetitive menus, the quality control in making the new dishes will definitely take time to roll out.
if you ordered 2 appetizers, they brought both out simultaneously which could be ok for cold dishes, but who wants soup and escargots at the same time? A polite request, ensured each app was brought on its own.
again menus have potential- just need to get the quality/taste on par

We have the same one. It’s not on the beach. It has ladder access into the water. As long as you see “over the water”
have fun!

For us it’s Labadee hands down. Love the more Caribbean island rustic feel than coco cay themed island. We love coco cay as well, however between the two, Labadee has our vote! I think it also depends on what you do in each port. We normally get over the water cabana at Labadee and cabana at coco cay beach club and just prefer the feel of Labadee

Looks like advance show booking are for December 2022 sailings onward, around 60 day mark. Our Jan 7 cruise entertainment on Wonder should hopefully become available this coming week
-
Wonder Jan 7th hasn’t yet opened up, but most of the December ones have, so looks like it’s around the 60 days give or take right now. Funny cause wonder isn’t even on the list of ships to be able to prebook yet per the planner.
We are all standing by to book:) -
On our 8 night Allure cruise in May it was nights 2 and 7:)
-
For our Jan 2023 cruise we only have a few excursions for 2 of our 5 ports.
-
Noticed this on our Wonder sailing for next Jan. Didn’t realize it’s a new feature. Sure beats having to log on thru the main site … have now booked all our dining and some excursions in mere seconds! #itsthelittlethings

While hopeful this will no longer be required come the fall, We tested right off the airport at FLL at Nomi Health. Took 10 mins and results in 20 that they emailed. They were right off the terminal. All locations on their website.

According to you, it definitely may not matter, but I'm curious... We're going on the Allure, our 1st ship of that class and I'm looking in the app at the current sailing and I'm not able to see when the shows requiring reservations are. Is this normal? It doesn't make sense to me that you can't see the show times. I can see the times for other entertainment that doesn't require reservations.
You only receive a list of the entertainment requiring reservations once you board the ship. Everything is so fluid these days with these shows, with show times changes or cancel and so you are only privy to the schedule upon embarkation. We sailed in May and our show timings were completely different from the sailings prior. Who knows…Maybe this changes months down the road?

We have been numerous times and plan to head there in January on our next Caribbean cruise. Does Royal offer shuttle service to Atlantis? Coming back from Atlantis we hit a lot of traffic, I would ensure you allow ample time to leave Atlantis and taxi it back to the pier. If transportation is included then that may be to your advantage to not have to worry about timing. If you had all day in Nassau, I would say go on your own for sure. In regards to whether you can conquer in a day or not- that's all personal as to what you wish to explore once there. 🙂

My DH won the Star Wars Trivia twice. First time was a pen... we just chuckled.
This last time on the Allure a few weeks ago, he got a medal, a water bottle and a bag in a bag. I think with the low expectations of the "prizes" this second time around felt like he had won the jackpot! LOL. All in all it was great fun and he won his bragging rights.

Odyssey has been doing 8 nights. Definitely on sea days for us. But never last night.
So I'd guess 4 and 7
Amazing- Thanks @John&LaLa! I will definitely check out the Odyssey sailings on the app. Was just on the 8 night Allure but we had sea days at the beginning for the usual day 2 and day 7.
Cheers!

Normally able to gage this one fairly well well based on sea days, but sailing on the Wonder in January for an 8 night Caribbean cruise with day 2 and 3 both being ports and day 4 the first sea day.
Anyone have experience with which nights are "formal/dress your best/anything goes now" for an 8 night- port intensive Caribbean cruise? Aligning reservations for the specialty restaurants. I realize I may have to wait until The Wonder resumes Caribbean sailings this fall, however any best guesses would be great. I was thinking nights 3 and 7... thanks in advance.

Hi, we haven't spent much time in the lounge. I hear there is a coffee machine that makes lattes, cappuccino etc.? If so is there a crew member that makes these drinks or self service? Any of the flavorings such as hazelnut or vanilla? Thank you for the help!!
There is indeed that wonderful coffee machine in the lounge. We just got off Allure and everything was self service. Cappuccinos, latte, macchiatos etc. No flavours. They offer decaf as well.

I was on that cruise also and ended up getting it. I’m positive I got it on the ship since I have been on for the last 3 cruises and am on the next one now. Last week I didn’t leave the ship so that’s where I got it. Started feeling crappy today and tested positive. They will move me to a covid room in the morning.
My concern is getting home. We live about 5 miles from the port and usually Uber here. I don’t think it’s very responsible to take Uber right now. Maybe Royal will drive us there. If we did use Uber we would wear N95 masks and ask them to open the windows. As long as my husband continues to test negative we are thinking he will Uber home and then come back and get me. At least this is only a 6 day cruise.
I'm so sorry to hear this news! Been following your other thread and hope you continue to be well looked after. I can only dream of a B2B2B2B coming from Toronto 🙂 Hope the other weeks were glorious. We loved every second, however seems everyone is dropping like flies from the sailing. Wishing you continued good health and speedy recovery!

We were able to make reservations onboard the ship at Beach Club, once boarding the ship. You can do it at Main dining room within minutes or through the Concierges for status of Diamond and above.
