  1. Those crew who were with the company pre-Iona tend to prefer to avoid the two largest ships. I sense that this is now being reflected in rotations. Iona and Arvia tend to now be having lots of reoccurring crew who are new since the pandemic. Some are on their third long rotation so get it now! Customer service is improving slowly across the fleet with more still to be done. Yes - menus and dining room food still need work.
  2. If it’s Winter 2025/6 launch then it finishes tomorrow. if it’s for summer 3025, then it’s already finished.
  3. Unless its changed, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and NYE tend to show as separate venues under dining. e.g. Epicurean - Xmas Day. This is because the supplement/menu is different.
  4. The cabins are the same size floor space wise. Cot should still sit at end of bed without issue. TV & vanity behind the picture.
  5. Phone up P&O, make sure they have reserved you a cot, and tell them that you want Queen beds. Computer should say yes. As long as its not fixed beds, it's operator area.
  6. Open wardrobe area is good for storing buggy.
  7. This will be the layout. Cot can go by the window.
  8. It’s a 7.5% discount (rounded). Likely the majority of their commission on the cruise itself, so no profit here. However, likely to help push the agent up the loyalty/sales scheme. Most cruise lines offer some kind of sales multiplier incentive scheme separate to commission being paid.
  9. This was a Covid cleaning procedure not usual Southampton procedure. Nothing to do with zeroing passengers but instead fogging the ship. Customers with mobility needs were given somewhere particular to wait which was fogged before and after.
  10. Seat reservations not mandatory. The charges are in line with the industry. If you’ve paid £400, that suggests you’ve not picked preferred seating rather than the cheaper standard seating.
  11. You can now get Costa Coffee at any open bar. Thus change was made to reduce the queues are the one outlet on deck 6 of the atrium.
  12. Iona has a good size library however it didn’t have many books earlier this year. Someone who has sailed her more recently may be able to expand.
  13. There are some rooms which only show as twins if booked for three people however if the booking has been noted, and it’s safe to configure then it will be configured as desired.
  14. P&O do provide port information, just not in paper form. One of your pre-cruise emails will have had the link to download the document to your phone/tablet/laptop. It should be available on the myholiday website soon too. https://www.pocruisesguides.com
  15. Certainly all ships are due to be live “by the end of the year”.
  16. The family ships were done first I believe. The remaining ships will go live before Christmas. I’m not aware of any change or delay to that plan.
  17. Moreover, flights have been running for three weeks. Feedback is generally positive although a couple of slips ups in Barbados the first weekend as the company had never been there before with the usual bonded handling and direct exit passengers.
  18. Facebook can be named but specific groups/posts can not linked to or named.
  19. People drop out due to illness / personal circumstances. It doesn’t mean that there is capacity which has been held back.
  20. They are also dropping routes such as Houston. The problem is that new plane delivery dates only get confirmed 2-4 months out.
  21. I’m one of these who doesn’t care for seat back TVs on flights. I take an iPad and noise cancelling headphones. That way I can watch what I want! Everything else should be the same (except Premium cabin).
  22. I agree wholeheartedly that if Tui had more planes then they could have helped. I read your comment as Tui not supplying the full quota of aircraft they had contracted for. I’m trying to be fair and not blame Tui for something which wasn’t their fault. I believe the contract for Maleth was announced as being for one season. I believe options for next year are still being finalised. My thoughts are that Virgin and BA are still due to receive more new planes next year. If these are used to increase their fleet then it may create capacity which P&O can buy on Fridays and Saturdays.
  23. I accept that a a small number of passengers were changed from Tui to Maleth, and I’m sorry you were affected. But this wasn’t the case for the majority who had no flights confirmed at that point.
  24. At least one big travel agent was telling customers that Charters would be Tui or Virgin. P&O had never confirmed that point to the agent. The travel agent accepted they made an assumption and gave customers wrong information. P&O apologised for not being clear with TAs that it was Tui or the yet unconfirmed airline. P&O have publicly confirmed that they effectively oversold PE expecting to agree a charter with an airline who had PE.
