  1. I would say that a 7-Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Carnival Splendor/ Carnival Glory out of Miami would be good because it's 7-Days, both ships are very nice. The Eastern Caribbean is gorgeous, and they have 2 sea days, but they are one at the beginning and one at the end so it shouldn't be a problem. Also, they both have 4 port stops and that is the most you'll get on a Caribbean cruise. Unless, they would be fine with flying into San Juan to sail on a 7-Day southern Caribbean Cruise which has only one sea day total.

If you would like to know where these go, I will gladly add the info.

  2. The fascination was my first cruise and it is my favorite ship out of the 2 I've sailed on! The decor is toned down for Joe Farcus, and everything, at least on mine, was perfect. When you are booking your stateroom, if you do so happen get a balcony, room E253 is amazing as it is the farthest aft side balcony and there is a little corridor to get to it so no noise outside of the room!

  3. Hello! As you can see by my signature, I will be cruising on the Carnival Breeze in a (somewhat) short amount of time. Now, my signature also says that this is my first review as well. So, I am talking like FULL SUPER AWESOME Review, like GAPearl, Gambee, Jammaman, just to name a few. And I would like to know what Cruise Critic would like to see in that review. I am an excessive planner (obviously, by the fact that I'm doing this), would you like to see some of what goes into my planning processes? But just things like that. Also, Is there anything that you absolutely DON'T want included in this review? This can all mean little things like the font/colour of the text. Thank You In Advance!

  4. If you go to the front of the Veranda Deck (this will be in a stateroom section) and go to one of the corners, there will be a door that can take you out to the ridge overlook and on a sea day, even thought it is windy, it is still very nice. Also nice for sailaways!

  5. if it's about the Mobile Move, Re-positioning and a Funship 2.0, I think that Fantsy will move to Mobile and get full (As many as they can) Funship 2.0 enhancements before it moves so that they can see how it works out, Splendour and Miracle will also get 2.0 and another homeport will be getting a ship that was not expected.

  6. I have sailed twice with Carnival, and am going on #3 this winter. My grandparents, however, sailed RCCL first (Freedom of the Seas) then went on the Carnival Sensation (Most likely the class of ship you'll be going on maybe even the exact ship). But the Freedom of the Seas is far larger and far newer than The Sensation, but they said that they found that they liked them both almost evenly, with RCCL being slightly better because they did a Caribbean on RCCL and only a Bahamas on CCL. They said that if they did a longer cruise to different places on CCL, they would be tied. They said that they each have their ups and downs but overall if you are on a cruise to have a good time and not nitpick at all the little things, you will be perfectly fine on any ship.

    Hope this helps!

  7. We have a very limited time frame ( Third full week of April, and has to end by the third week of May.) We want to go to Eastern or Southern Caribbean. If this was your situation, which 7 or 8 day cruise would you book?

There is a great Southern Caribbean itinerary on the Conquest out of Ft. Lauderdale that departs April 30th. It's 8 days and goes to Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Curacao, and Aruba. This is a sought after itinerary and I think it would be great because I've heard that the conquest is a beautiful ship!

  8. I, personally, haven't been on the ship but have heard many people who ADORE the ship! It has pretty much anything you could want. A wide variety of bars, water slides, mini golf, lots of restaurants, toned down decor, and oh so much more. And with 16 people who get a long together, that's just a recipe for a great vacation! Even if you don't choose the Sunshine, I know you'll have a great time!

  9. Why does Carnival change the port for the ships if they are very similar? What is the point?

Well, The Magic is much bigger than the Sunshine and they have slight differences. They change the Home Ports of the ships to "spice it up a bit" Since no 2 ships are exactly alike, even if they are in the same class. This means different decor, different amenities, and amount of specialty restaurants. They all can add a different style to the cruise. And if you have 2 ships that have similar amenities in the same port, you can get more money by having one do a 7-day eastern Caribbean cruise that departs on (let's say) August 2nd, and then have the similar ship do a 7-Day Western Caribbean cruise that departs on (let's say) August 3rd. It's to appeal to the masses.

  10. Finally Caught Up! I thought you would be done but I'm so glad you're not! These reviews are awesome and have inspired me to do one on my upcoming cruise on the Breeze. They seem like a great way to relive the moments you experienced and as an added bonus, you can get to read them again to get out of the "not on a cruise blues!" Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to write these!

  11. I believe that she is getting them but I think what I've heard was only rumors. I would expect it to since it's going to Port Canaveral and that's where it will be filling in for the Sunshine (Sunshine will be going to NYC, Norfolk, and Charleston for the summer), so in order to keep the amenities the Sunshine has, it would need to get Funship 2.0.

  12. Hello Everybody!

I just have a quick question about the couches in the Carnival Breeze. When the stateroom transforms into the sleeping area, does the bed pull out to make a double sleeper bed or does the cabin steward take out the padding and replace it with a sheet and pillow. If this is needed, we are staying in an act view extended balcony, if that makes a difference.

  13. My next business of the day was to do something that has become a bit of a tradition with me. I don't know, if you do something twice, is that a tradition? On my Grandeur cruise, I had distributed 26 gift bags to various cabins as part of the 26 Acts of Kindness, in memory of the victims at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

This is such a great idea! I actually might think about doing something like this for my upcoming cruise on the Carnival Breeze!

  14. On the Ecstasy (and other Fantasy class ships) there is an adults only serenity area on the back of the ship that is adults only, it has padded loungers and 2 hot tubs, I believe that there are spots where you can be covered completely and some places where you can be in the sun. Welcome to Carnival and I know you'll love it! A cruise is what you make of it.
