We were also on this cruise for our honeymoon. I believe it left on July 1st for 10 days. By any chance do you have the passenger list? For whatever reason Royal Caribbean doesn't have records that far back and didn't get us credit for the cruise, but if I had some proof they will give us the credit. Thanks in advance.

It's a security issue from ship to gates! I agree I cruised with 2 parents who had to have scooters in order to do Cozumel! We used Black Hat Tours in Cozumel that was able to get the 2 scooters in the way back of the van. Little did we know I was walking with a really bad hip. Neither one could've of walked that pier length in the brutal heat and humidity in March!

I know I remember being in Majesty WJ eating dinner and 3 officers were having a robust conversation about food in the WJ with head WJ person by the stairs going to the upper court to the decks.

This couple comes walking fast, and my guess not thinking distance from door to door through. He exhales a bunch of smoke 1/3 way down the stairs. Officers never missed a beat chewing out the head of the WJ. Never did a thing. Not one of them turn to head to speak with them.

If I remember it might of been the chick that was smoking something the day before in the pool at sail away and no one said a word. Nice night into sunset.

I had 9256 and I had that cabin next to water elevator deck 9. Both were awesome. From the deck nine you could see all the way to the end of Brilliance. If I remember you could see forward. Huge balcony and deeply covered. Love Brilliance.

I just know for me in September it was beyond nuts, beyond backed up, beyond chaos, and beyond hot. I thought I was going to pass out. Cold water. It was just me, so I should of just jumped in the line and left. I made my 2pm flight after a power outage to boot at the airport. I was trying to call the kennel. I never got through but I made it. Beyond stressful few hours.

Basically if you are TSA Pre they are not doing that, so normal line. Don't forget your carry on has to go through the second scanner and line. Quirks of PR.

No the spa is above you and it is nice and quiet. Don't forget to use the stairs to go up and down a flight. Just remember the hours of the spa at night when they close.

This is your beyond awesome balcony. The couch is by the slider. Enjoy the cabin and Vision. She is a great fun Vision class ship.

Amazingly enough in ten cruises I've never had a man overboard situation or a medical evac happen....whew....but during one of the Behind the Fun tours I've done, we were told that each ship has a "ready" boat that is supposed to be deployable within 5 minutes in case of a person overboard emergency. They're also used to investigate and pick up refugees or others stranded in the ocean.

I know there were some CC's on Oasis when the guy jump to the lifeboat and then fell. They said they had a search boat in the water in about 4 minutes flying around the back of Oasis getting to the other side to look for the guy. Never found him. I am sure it is honestly the only chance if they actually survived the fall.

I don't know if the weather is bad and seas at a certain height if they wouldn't launch do to possibly hurting main ship in process and not wanting to have the potential crew loss. Just wait for assistance.

I have had to actually use the medical twice.

Once way back on Nordic Prince and they were able to help my cut foot just fine. Thankfully no stitches from a reef/rock cut.

A year ago on Liberty for bronchial issue. They were great.

They also had a dispenser that I think was 25cents for a bunch of basic otc stuff.

Kudos to Carnival for getting a search boat in the water. Lines unfortunately getting to much real Oscar drills. Strength to the surviving family and friends.

Again you don't accidentally fall off a cruise ship; although there are some stairs area up top that if you are rail riding with a crap load of alcohol you may go flying over, but you are going to be hitting things on the way down. Although I think the cruise lines have assessed points and done something to stop it.

Yes -WE are concerned --we sail on The 17th for 12 Days-to the Southern Caribbean-- we have plans for the 6 ports on Exact days---they have moved the itinerary twice now! That would play havoc with our tours. Hope they send the right parts!

There is a live blog, and Anthem left port tonight from the Bahamas heading back I believe to NJ nothing was mentioned later of it, so it maybe a tweaking in progress. I know they were working Adventure in September to its late fall drydock.

If you price a cabin and it comes out to be more for a solo than for 2 people, it's normally an IT problem. Call Royal and they will usually correct it. I have seen that happen a few times, especially when cruises first come out or there is a new promotion. Any time I've called I got a corrected price. I have always been given the buy one get one 50% off, or any other % off promotions.

It's not an IT problem. It is the meterics in the computing of the rate you pay. When the rate is figure the 50% off full booking value cost when 2 people pull a higher $ off then 1 person does hence why solo's are paying if you book a standard cabin 215% more then the 2 people are. Back to that pesky math. I have had long discussions with C&A about it. Told take or leave. Great treatment of a long time solo.

That is why even with the Solo cabins are about 128% more than an average rate. It really is not cool. Nor does Royal care. Again math!

I for one use way less towels. If they would let us I would have the cabin serviced every other day costing less for labor, laundry and more. Due to the Noro concerns that is not happening.

It is cool to see all of the Solo's pretty much accepting the higher costs you are paying without blinking an eye.

Is the double rate of $863 pp? If so, then the studio is significantly cheaper at $1163 pp since there's just one. I understand your frustration on the C&A discount but I think everyone gets the prorated amounts with the Xx% off sales, but I'm not seeing where solos are getting "ripped off".

 

I do sail solo, so I'm not criticizing, just trying to understand the math.

$863 is listed as pp for balcony so you feel it is acceptable to add another $300/.258% ontop and stick you in a tiny solo balcony cabin and RCI calls it a solo balacony rate. That is ripping solo's off. I know on a straight normal cabin you pay %15 higher as a solo. That means it costs you 215% more than actually 2 people in the same cabin. It is in the metric of when less $% comes off you pay more. Do the Math.

I've spoken to C&A and they don't care. Well when others get as sick as me and the industry starts tanking, because the economy is tanking they will care. We are basically on a bubble again. It is going to break.

Why these sales are a pure joke. 30% off a just marked up 50% does not a sale make!

It's been fun! This solo is beyond tired of getting ripped off paying 25% to 30% higher after the 200% to have the right to board a ship. Hence I didn't book and nor was I dropping $250.00 deposit. Lake house is looking better every day.

Just checked the new sailings for New England and Bermuda.

The double rate is $863 and when I click a studio becomes $1163 which hasn't added tax.

I haven't signed in so no C/A discount a whopping diamond of $63 after the pice had gone up again. Where was the $100. Must be a solo thing.

If you are going to say Solo balacony rate don't add .258% and than it becomes a Solo rate.

Do they think we are stupid. I am getting beyond done. The lake cabin is looking better every day!

One Exhausted Solo. Stop ripping us the hell off.

Watched a cigarette boat play chicken with Brilliance on our way out. He was running up down during our Muster and took off to meet us to play before the bridge.

We have done 2 trips out of San Juan including Adventure. Many years ago. Will say on our cruises, there were lots of locals. Lots of Latin dancing at night, again on our cruise. We got to learn salsa and some other Latin dances! :)

 

Had great cruise. Adventure was our first Voyager class cruise and it was great!

On my Adventure cruise there was a big group, and they took over Crown Vik most nights. Expect for 1 night they were down stairs. They had the Vik completely hoping.

Great ship. Just through dry dock late last year.

Debarkation was nuts, unorganized and beyond hot. Bring cold water. No AC in the terminal.

Just curious, has anyone actually seen this new and improved menu, and how was the food?

The only thing half decent from the menu that was not breakfast was the steak, and just the steak. It was liveable and some spice. The O-Rings and bread basically not edible.

Man I ordered it twice while on Adventure, so I didn't have to go to the back of the boat or the front of the boat; when my hip was killing me.

Same issue on Majesty, half out, one not even working. No one is really in full time charge of looking after them although maybe on the bigger classes they may actually assign a sole to it.
