  1. Wow, even though he has 2 Pfizer vaccines. What a Cluster***
  2. Here is a photo from a few years ago, that hopefully gives you a visual of how far it could be. To me it doesn't look too bad.
  3. DW and I just returned from our Grand Rail Circle on Rocky Mountaineer, as @Alberta Quilter mentioned it was wonderful. We had great weather. So glad I spent my vacation $$$ in Canada. If your interested see my pics Rocky Mountaineer Grand Rail Circle or YouTube video
  4. Mighty Cruise Ships is a Canadian production. It airs in the UK first (not sure why not Canada). I watch all these last year on Sky network I believe, I used VPN software with a UK IP Address. The US doesn't get this until after it airs in Canada.
  5. Us too, we canceled our Cruises and are going on Rocky Mountaineer on Sept 5 to Sept 17th. Grand Rail Circle (Vancouver > Kamloops > Banff > Lake Louise > Jasper > Quesnel > Whistler > Vancouver). So looking forward to it.
  6. Just got off the phone canceling my B2B Sept. 5th and Sept. 12th cruise on Oasis. i was planing on driving to NJ. Protocols came in via email last night plus I'm mixed vaccinated so even if driving across the border was an option i still wouldn't be able to go. Happy to get full refund. Only took 45 minutes.
  7. Have the cruise lines (fda, cdc...whoever) not defined a time frame between Pfizer (or Moderna) doses? I got AZ as my first then Pfizer as my second. I'm at 63 days since my Pfizer. Even if I get a 3rd right now I don't think it would help me because I'll still be denied travel because of time between two Pfizer shots.
  8. My first two cruises were with Celebrity on Equinox and Summit in 2012. On the last Sea Day we had a huge Brunch Buffet in the MDR that I thought was amazing. Have not seen it since then.
  9. Yes, sorry I was focusing on Apex out of Greece since I'm sure the US will not change there policy anytime soon. Celebrity Apex "Following CDC guidelines, Celebrity will consider a guest fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination that can include mixed doses of the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines. Guests sailing on Celebrity Apex sailing from Athens can have mixed doses that include AstraZeneca as long as the AstraZeneca dose is administered first, and then either the Pfizer or Moderna dose within 8-12 weeks. No other mixed vaccine doses will be accepted."
  10. I don't see the FAQ, but under the Heathy at Sea Heading there is a link to this PDF. celebrity-healthy-at-sea-protocols.pdf

  12. I have the same AZ/Pf mixed vaccine, I'm looking at changing my cruise to Celebrity Apex out of Greece in September. You can see the travel requirement on this link https://www.celebritycruises.com/ca/healthy-at-sea/greece-travel-requirements The AZ/Pf mix is accepted on this cruise Celebrity Cruises Requirements All guests 16 years and older must be fully vaccinated with all COVID-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. As of August 1, 2021, all guests age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated.  Acceptable proof of vaccination must be in the form of the original vaccination record document issued by the country’s health authority or healthcare provider that administered the vaccination. Crew members onboard will be vaccinated. Following CDC guidelines, Celebrity will consider a guest fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination that can include mixed doses of the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines. Guests sailing on Celebrity Apex sailing from Athens can have mixed doses that include AstraZeneca as long as the AstraZeneca dose is administered first, and then either the Pfizer or Moderna dose within 8-12 weeks. No other mixed vaccine doses will be accepted. Celebrity will administer a complimentary antigen test at the terminal to all guests 6 months and older. On some sailings, unvaccinated children under age 16, and under age 12 beginning August 1st, will be required to take a complimentary PCR test that takes about 40 minutes to complete. .
  13. Nicely put, Thanks @John&LaLa for doing this looking forward to reading your reports...
  14. I thought of driving over to NY from Ottawa (not a far drive) on the 21st of August if it opens. Getting Johnson & Johnson vaccine (I don't know if it's available or if I can get it just a thought right now) and coming back home same day. That would allow me to go on my September 5th. cruise on Oasis. Then I realized it's not worth the risk, will wait and see what comes of this mixed vaccine fiasco. If things don't sort themselves out I will hope for refund, but even with Royal changing the rules after I made final payment don't have much hope for that. If I can get refund I will spend my vacation dollars elsewhere. I have other plans I can do instead. Rocky Mountaineer Grand Rail Circle or Apex in Greece (I think vaccine rules are different in the EU).
  15. I agree, could not have said it better myself. I especially love it when the anti cell phone comments make their way into a live review, meanwhile they are thanking the poster for photos and comments while onboard.
  16. Excellent review and fantastic photos, thanks...We cruised on the Edge Maiden Voyage and absolutely loved the ship.
  17. I believe it's next week July 24th. He is doing a YouTube live tonight so I'm sure this will be the main discussion. https://youtu.be/MclSnvn0l1k
  18. That's why I hope they only need the second certificate, since my fist one is AstraZeneca and My second is Pfiser.
  19. I plan on bringing both but will only show the 2nd that shows I'm fully vaccinated with 2 doses and the date. If they require both they no problem I'll then show the first one as well.
  20. Thank you very much for this information, we plan on doing B2B in September and are trying to line up everything we need. Subscribed to your YouTube channel looking forward to your reports and watching past videos...
  21. It would be greatly appreciated if you could come back and post what was needed and the process to get back into Canada. We are booked B2B on Oasis of the Seas September 5th and 12th. 2021. We are planning on driving to Bayonne NJ. Maybe stay a couple days pre cruise in NYC. If we decide to fly, can I ask where are you getting your test done in Ottawa pre cruise flight? My wife will need to get back to work within a day or two following the cruise so it is important that we get a PCR test before we travel back. If Royal will not provide them I'll need to find a place in NJ to get that done on a Sunday? Doesn't sound too promising. That may be the reason we will have to cancel and take the CWC offer 😞 This is our 27th Anniversary trip and first time in a Suite so really wish all goes to planned. Fingers crossed testing requirement for fully vaccinated to travel back to Canada goes away by September but I really don't think that will happen... Cheers LouTheGlue (aka LouTube)
  22. I wonder where this leaves me, I have B2B in September on Oasis of the Seas. My first vaccine was AZ my second was Pfizer. I know if I call I will not get a proper answer. Things are changing so fast, we'll see what the rules are in August and I'll decide what to do then...
  23. Michael Bayley states test cruises will be from Bayonne
