Made it to the airport by 5:15 AM! Brittany (Phoebe’s nurse) was waiting for us! 😀
Thank you, Tom for being our UBER driver!
Checked 8 bags @registration. TSA CARES agent escorted us through security. Gate tagged/checked wheelchair and medical dolly with 8 additional carry-ons… Made our 6:30 AM flight on Southwest to Las Vegas via Nashville. Let the trip begin! (Wish us Luck!)

@CruiszBug. Hey Denny
It might just be me but on my Samsung your 1st and 2nd post no pics show.
On my MacBook pro pics don't show on all 4 post.
Oh, no! What could I be doing wrong?? Any suggestions?

Double oh, no! Is anyone able to see my pictures? I posted from my Google photos online. Made collages of most pictures to cut down on size but (of course) I can see them all fine.

DAY 1: Hotel Check-In and Dinner with Long-Lost Family!
We stayed at The Jockey Club which is sandwiched between the Bellagio and Cosmopolitan hotels. We loved it! One large bedroom, a dining room, kitchen, living room... but conversely a teeny-tiny bathroom! We were able to get a bath chair that fit half-in and half-out of the tub for Phoebe! No view at all, but for the location and price we were happy campers! Plus everyone at this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful!
We were only a 5 minute walk to Caesar's Palace so we took our time for a little sight-seeing along the way. It was a gorgeous afternoon! Dinner reservations were for 4:45 PM which was our only option other than really late.
Hell's Kitchen? Hell, yeah! We were as excited to try Gordon Ramsay's food as we were to see my long lost Aunt Judy and cousins Tonda and Mindy. Unfortunately my other cousin Tammi and her husband had to opt out last minute but we will make it a point to do this again! Maybe even in Florida!
Yes, the food was delicious! I think we tried a little of everything on the menu, family-style sharing! We had not eaten anything all day (other than the pretzels on the plane)... but were stuffed by the end of the sticky toffee pudding!😋

DAY 1: Arrival in Las Vegas
Arrived in LAS and collected our luggage. Took about 45 minutes to get an accessible taxi to our hotel. Do not believe what they tell you! I had to call a taxi myself even though the taxi attendant told me he called one for us. Plus, the HA pickup location was put right next to the SMOKING section! Gawrsh...poor planning there! Our taxi was a side-ramp Toyota Sienna. We fit 3 people plus ALL of our luggage in the one vehicle! Our driver was, like me, a JENGA master! 😄

Like Peter Pan's shadow... we land at BNA!
Great day for flying! Desert and mountain views from the plane were stunning.

Hello, Everyone!
We have been infrequent posters but have enjoyed following different topics, such as Helen and Marty's current spectacular trip! Along that vein I would like to do the same. I would love to do a "Live Trip Report" but know I could not keep up, so I will do a semi-live here, if that is okay? We are leaving Saturday morning (early) flying to Las Vegas to help break up our super long trip to Hawaii! Yes, we going to try for a "do-over" of our Aulani and Pacific Crossing to Vancouver which was a "dizaster" last year, lol! Pictures to follow! If it would be too messy for the thread I will do a regular trip report...

Very late to the party! Hello, Helen and Marty! Loving your review of Japan! Our SIL, David is deployed there currently. He is loving it, also! Thank you for sharing your fantastic trip with us!

You aren't allowed to take cameras or phones up in case they were to fall onto traffic crossing the bridge below.
Looked like John was wearing a GoPro video camera?

Bay view of Biscayne Bay is always extra compared to city view.
Anyone ever use the Metrorail from MIA airport to downtown Miami. Just wondered how that works out compared to time and cost of an Uber.
I have done it! I liked it... but I like trains! Since I was headed to the port I just grabbed an UBER from the last stop.

I was shocked by this when staying in Amsterdam. I hated having to wash my face after removing my makeup using a towel. Our London pre-cruise stay was at the Grosvenor (sp?) and they had wash cloths. I had brought some, just in case.
I found that to be true at my hotel in Barcelona, too! When they finally understood what I was looking for, they found me four! Like you, I will bring some JIC!🙂

It's not that close. It's about a 20-minute walk to Waterloo station, which may feel like an eternity if you have luggage.
I'm beginning to wonder whether you've booked the Rose and Crown that you think you have. From what you say, you're in the one at 65 Union St SE1 (ie the backpackers' hostel). There is another Rose and Crown at 47 Colombo St SE1, which is only about half the distance away from Waterloo station proper. So you need to make sure you're going to the right place.
The hostel does at least have the advantage of being very close to the Menier Chocolate Factory, which is one of London's best off-West End theatres and has a long track record of excellent and successful productions that later transfer into the West End.
Yes, I am at the 65 Union St location! Depending on the weather I'll walk or take the bus...

The only devices that can withstand 220 to 110 conversion are those that have the capability built into them. (Usually clearly marked 110/220V 50/60Hz on the UL certification label) The problem with using an after market adaptor (unless you spend a lot of $$$ on it) is that the ship’s 220 is 50 Hz and our 110 is 60 Hz, and what you are buying is merely a step down transformer - us old folk used to call that a rheostat). The inability of the adaptor to change from 50/60 cycles per second will generate additional heat on the motor, and increased load on the heating element. In short, the motor runs slower, the elements run hotter, and the device can’t handle that for long before the thermocouple safety overheats and shorts out the device.
Is this true for a power converter? Rather than the cheaper adaptor most of us have?

I must add my kudos to the SWA team who helped us make our flight to Vegas. We only had a 30 min connection and are always last off the plane waiting for Phoebe's wheelchair and medical dolly. About half a dozen people helped us off and escorted us to our next gate while re-tagging our wheelchair talking on walkie talkies, etc... We were up the gangway and settled in with hardly a stop to scan our boarding passes. No doubt we would have missed that connection without help. The attendant on our first flight asked why we booked our flights so close, I said "We booked to Vegas, not Nashville. I didn't do it on purpose. This was scheduled by Southwest." 🤨🤔
