Kirkwall is a lovely place, just 10 miles across the water from me. There is loads to see in Orkney with my favourite being the Italian Chappel which was made from stuff found on the beaches and was built by Italian prisoners during the Second World War. Enjoy your trip.

Ooooh ................ I'm sooo looking forward to Splendida next March to sample some of those delights from the Gelataria. It's on deck 6, Sandra, in what's known as the Phoenician Plaza on Preziosa (La Piazzetta on Splendida).

 

I do love the Fantasia class ships for the extras onboard. Unfortunately, MSC has introduced a franchise on Meraviglia where even the premium drinks package doesn't cover you for the coffee, never mind the treats, in the 'Jean Philippe Patisserie'.
