<3_2_Cruise Posted November 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2015 There's a dispenser in the shower with shampoo and body wash.
092306 Posted November 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I think its a shampoo/conditioner all in one and a body wash. Body wash is fine, never used the shampoo/conditioner.
ferfoodle Posted November 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2015 (edited) The dispensers in the shower contain body wash and shampoo. They do not provide conditioner. I bring my own shampoo and conditioner because I don't like mixing brands. Never have tried the shampoo but DH doesn't mind it. KARTI1955 Posted November 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2015 There is shampoo and body wash in the shower. Little bars of soap also. No conditioner so make sure to pack some. I like the shampoo and body wash. Some people don't. If you have a particular shampoo that you like, you may want to bring that as well.
lissa1094 Posted November 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Anyone have any idea what brand of body wash they use? We'd buy it by the gallon if we knew what it was.

LandlockedCruiser01 Posted November 12, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Another quick note: sometimes, there may be a bowl of samples, which often includes brand-name shampoo and/or conditioner. But those are provided by outside companies, not Carnival, and are usually hit-or-miss, as far as availability is concerned.
mousey Posted November 12, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 12, 2015 (edited) From what I've read on these boards in the last year...there's really not much in those little bowls or baskets anymore. I'd err on the side of bringing my own personal shampoo and conditioner if you don't think you'd care for Carnival's product. I personally always bring my own travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as I have very dry skin. The bowls with the little goodies is gone, hasn't been available for a while. I use to love the little samples.
Danica Babaz Posted November 12, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Does Carnival supply shampoo/conditioner, etc in the shower? I cruised on the Freedom last month. I was booked in an ocean suite and there was shampoo and conditioner in the dispensers. There was no body wash.
Schoifmom Posted November 12, 2015 #12 Share Posted November 12, 2015 The dispensers in the shower contain body wash and shampoo. They do not provide conditioner. It's a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner. Obviously, it doesn't provide much in the way of conditioning :)
KathyF. Posted November 12, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Thanks! I'm not picky about shampoo so usually don't pack it and just use what is provided in the hotel/cruise ship.

AHS123 Posted November 12, 2015 #15 Share Posted November 12, 2015 No, I posted the labels of the products in this thread earlier and you are incorrect. Not everyone reads the posts written by others before weighing in on here.
kelkel2 Posted November 12, 2015 #16 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I have to say, especially for the ladies, you really are better off just brining your own shampoo/conditioner. The shampoo in the shower offers little to no help in the way of making your hair less frizzy in the heat and humidity and it is not conditioner. I have been bringing my own for every cruise, but at the end of our first I ran out of my travel bottles and seriously regretted it. You're better off brining the brand you use at home. Hawaiifrank Posted November 12, 2015 #17 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I bring a regular size bar of soap. I dislike using body wash and those tiny bars of soap. I also bring my own dandruff shampoo.

KathyF. Posted November 13, 2015 Author #19 Share Posted November 13, 2015 I'll bring my own conditioner because some hotels don't have it and just use the shampoo supplied on the cruise ship. Thanks again!
dioxide45 Posted November 14, 2015 #20 Share Posted November 14, 2015 I find that the shampoo has little to no lather. I much preferred the Elemis shampoo that was provided in our Spa cabin on the Magic. Though they still had the dispenser on the wall with the lesser shampoo and body wash. hockeyluver Posted November 14, 2015 #21 Share Posted November 14, 2015 I dye my hair at home........ out of a box   I always have extra tubes of the conditioner, so I bring one of those with me. Since they are a deep conditioner I find them great for the harsh salt water/air. We use the shampoo and body wash supplied .
peymas Posted November 14, 2015 #22 Share Posted November 14, 2015 I am going to bring my own body wash this time because I can't get the soap in the dispenser to lather. Anyone else? I like the shampoo ok but it doesn't lather very well either. I'm ok with no shampoo lather, but it seems like I have to use half the container of body wash to get enough to wash with. lissa1094 Posted November 15, 2015 #23 Share Posted November 15, 2015 Here are the labels, the company is in Colorado. Thank you. That's amazingly helpful. That particular smell brings me right back to the ship, so on a dreary November day with the next cruise a few months away, it might be nice! That particular smell brings me right back to the ship, so on a dreary November day with the next cruise a few months away, it might be nice! My pleasure. And for that "you are there effect" the dispenser units are available on Amazon and in Home Depot stores in the bath supplies department. crazyfrazee Posted November 15, 2015 #25 Share Posted November 15, 2015 I normally bring back about half a water bottle full to use a few times between cruises! It was better years ago. The last few cruises it seemed to be watered down. I will take my own body wash and shampoo from now own.
