Celebrity Solstice overbooking - passenger turned away at Auckland

Thought I'd post a link to a thread in the Celebrity section. I'm surprised to hear it happen, and it was on a recent sailing from Auckland, so thought it would be of interest.

I'd be devastated to have it happen when boarding due to cruise line error. Leave is limited and arrangements and plans had been made. It's one thing if it's a ship maintenance issue, but when it's purely commercial maladministration, it's terrible!

Geez BigM, thats disappointing, even sadder was the TA they booked through was not notified until a refund was done. Having been in that industry I would not have been happy:(
