Stopping in Havana-can I do this on my own?

Taking a Trans-Atlantic from Lisbon to Miami in October and we've got 2 days in Havana. Do we need visas if we want to hire private tour guide and not do ship's excursions? Can anyone recommend a tour guide for group of 4 people?

she did a great job . we would USE her again... She arrange every thing... Taxi (old Car) Drinks at Floridita Bar dinner on a Terrace over looking the city , then a night club Rosalia de Castro in the Asturian Cultural Society that was Fabulous ... happen to see her the Next Morning giving a tour for 2 people... we had a group of 7...
