Crown Princess Obstructed Oceanview Cabins

It depends on which cabin - some are very obstructed, some not too bad and others hardly at all obstructed. I had E602 recently and have attached a few photos of the view.

I am booked in cabin E629, it appears that we are going

to have the same type of view, partially obstructed.

Here is a suggestion for Princess...HINT HINT Princess...

why can't they have a photo of the the actual window view on their web site for each obstructed cabin for each ship so every person who books it knows exactly what they are getting before they book, so they know exactly what they are paying for. How long would it take to have someone go to each cabin, take a picture and post it on the web site with the cabin numbers. This would enhance customer satisfaction and countless threads on this topic.

Take a look of the Deck Plan - it is very accurate.

The cabins behind the BIG Tenders are fully obstructed.

The cabins behind the small ones can see above the top of the lifeboats.

Then there are cabins right between 2 lifeboats - they can see thru from top to bottom but with some metal platform and chains in between.

In other words, NOT all obstructed view cabins are the same. If you dont want to have a fully obstructed one, then dont book a Guaranty but book one that you can identify its location on the deck plan.

Do you mean something like this. I spent the last few hours of my cruise, missing breakfast to create thes albums of obstructed view cabins:

Golden Princess:

I think they owe me a FREE cruise on Carnival:D

Was thinking of booking one on the Sapphire because of the great price, but most of the pics I've seen of obstucted view rooms look too dark. Great for napping I guess, but don't know if I would want it that way for 7 days.

Recently off the Crown. Had booked obstructed view cabin. If you book FF in the 400 range, you are okay. Deck plans are pretty accurate. I had E417. These are mid ship cabins, and no you do not hear elevators. Just make sure deck plan has no ship in front of it.

I was in E506 on the Crown, with one of those over-the-lifeboat views. I found it perfectly adequate. But then, I tend to spend relatively little time in my cabin, and don't feel compelled to spend extra money to look out the window a few times a day.
