Casino Refund

We were on the Freedom last week. We played the slots on our last night. Neither of us had played before. We got a Carnival attendant to show us how to get started. We finished playing with 45.00 to the good. When I removed my card, the machine said that my winnings would be added to my ss card. Well I later found out that I was supposed to cash out with an attendant. I was told as we were leaving on our last day that a check would be mailed to us.

Has anybody else done this and how long before receiving a check?

That happened to us on one of our cruises and it took about 3 months to get the check. We actually had no idea that we even had any money due to us so it was a surprise when we got the check in the mail.:)

I got a check five months after the cruise. I also did not know I had left any $$

in the slot machine.

No, but thanks for the info. I plan to play some slots on Freedom and I appreciate finding out about this now rather than later :)

My sister also got a check back several months after our cruise for leaving $$$ on her card that she didn't even know was there...

It irks me that the last nite on board all you hear in the casino is "empty your card before you leave or you will lose it" over and over and over again.. especially knowing that its not true...

I didn't realize I left $25 on my casino acct when onboard the Imagination in April. It was a nice surprise when received a check from Carnival 3 months later. :)

It took me a few months (2-3) to get back money (a few hundred dollars) that was left in my casino acct on Dream when I had to debark in Belize because dd got ill on the cruise and was hospitalized.

It would be nice if they had just 1 account instead of 2. If it all went back on the S&S there would be no need to send out checks.
