Equinox late out of Fort Lauderdale

anyone know why Equinox is late leaving Fort Lauderdale this evening?

I would guess late flights due to weather. Cunard just leaving now and carnival ship is still there

So glad I checked cruisecritic when I did. Got to watch her sail - and next time she does, my sisters and I will be on her. SISTER'S CRUISE 2015!!! Can't wait.

Guessing it had to do with Choice Air guests and all the nasty winter weather. That's the nice thing with booking airfare with Celebrity. We typically in the winter like to arrive a day earlier just in case

In fact, both Carnival and Celebrity, due out at 4;00pm-ish , were delayed a couple of hours and sailed away one after the other.

Qheen Victoria was a mere 15 minutes late.

There were also delays to boarding, caused by the breakdown to the immigration computer, earlier in the day.

FYI for those of you getting on board in Ft Lauderdale, it's 1:00 pm now, and the debarkation process has been delayed due to the immigration's computer problems earlier this morning... Passengers getting off in FT Lauderdale are still in the debarkation process, once they're done, us (in-transit passengers) will go through the immigration to get back on board again. I assume after that they'll start embarking the new passengers.

On our first Celebrity, out of Amsterdam, some years ago, we sat at the pier for a considerable time. Suddenly, from our balcony, we discovered the reason!

A small truck pulled up folks scrambled around and got the important stuff loaded on, and we left. It was the art auction resupply!

That let us know what was important.
