Wine Cellar in La Boqueria?

Hi

I have heard that there is a wine cellar in La Boqueria. Does anyone know anything about it? Is there wine tasting? We are looking for wine to take on our cruise with us.

Yes, there is a wine shop there. If you go all the way to the right and half way down, you should see it. They had a large selection but they did appear to be higher end wines. I can't recall if they did tastings, as we were just wandering around the market.

 

However, not far from there on Las Ramblas heading towards Placa Catalunya on the left side is a Carrefour Express (this is like the WalMart of Europe). They have a very large wine selection, some are very inexpensive, and the one we chose was very good. So, you have two choices of very different selection very close together.

Also, at El Cortes Inglis in Placa Catalunya (east side) in the basement (food section)....lots of wine selection...bottled, boxed, red, white....lots to choose from.
