IRL Joanie we have been assigned a BQ120 formerly a BB on the Maasdam Dec. 6. I am surprised at the designation of BQ, but I chatted with Lisa on the chat line and she assured me it was a BQ cat. Can you advise whether this is a cabin we would enjoy because we do not plan to use the Spa amenities?

boards, I do not know whether you will enjoy it or not. I do not have any info on the BQ's on Maasdam. The closest that I can come would be April 2010 BA 117 http://abqreunion2008.com/Maasdam/Deck-9.html

 

I would say that if you like the location, then go for it, whether or not you use any of the amenities that go with the "Q's"

Kitred, I have quite a number of Deck 8 SS staterooms here: http://abqreunion2008.com/Westerdam/Deck-8.html Just go down the page about 1/2 way and click on the Photos to view them full sized and read the reviews of the staterooms. The SS staterooms are pretty much exact duplicates of each other and the only difference will be in the location of the stateroom itself. The closest I have to SS 8099 would be SS 8088, which is across the ship and foreward by just a couple staterooms.

Thank you. We had hoped to be a little more midship, but we were in HH314 last year and we survived the motion and that is my concern with this cabin. But looking at it in from the outside it is further back than the HH was, so I think we will be okay.

I just checked all the other S class ships and have no photos of the J staterooms on Deck 4.

 

RuthC would be the person I'd have you ask but I believe she is on a cruise right now.

Hi Joanie- the error message did not come up when I used another device that wasn't Apple and it worked fine. Must be an issue with the Safari on the I device and not your website.

Could very well be. I've had one or 2 others state that it was there iPhone or iPad......... I am sorry, but I've tried as best I can to make it as cross platform as I can.

Because of all your hard work, I was able to change my NA booking for this upcoming March Caribbean cruise to 4166, one of the super balconies!

8076 was an SS and while it stays in the same location, it is being reclassified as an SY after the reclassification.new deck plans.

 

I have a few photos of several SS class staterooms on Zuiderdam and they will be almost identical to what you wish to see:)

It's located just steps away from the aft elevators and handy to disembark on your own for shore excursions etc. You do hear engine noise especially during docking procedures.

 

The bathroom is narrow and has a tub and a partial wall blocking the toilet so it would be difficult for someone using a walker. The tub has several handholds.

 

If you are the least bit narcissistic, you will love this cabin! Mirrors are everywhere - big one in the bathroom over the sink and another in the tub area as well as a full-sized behind the bathroom door, a large one over the desk and one even frames the picture over the sofa.
