Shoretrips and Salem

Hello.

 

I am cruising on Carnival in October and I had two questions. Has anyone used Shoretrips for their excursions and if so, what did you think?

 

Our small group wants to go to Salem. Any recommendations on how to get there on our own? Have looked the ferry schedule so far.

It appears that you will be in port 2 pm to 10 pm on a Sunday. That's a tough time and a tough day of the week. The public transportation options will not be good to Salem. Have you considered renting a car?
