Hey Roulette Players-What's Your Lucky # and Why?

I tried a couple methods. Two more than others. I pick my number...for example 17. I find it on the wheel, then I also play the three number to the left of the number and the 3 numbers to the right of the number. This way, I have a little section of the wheel. Sometimes I get lucky ;)

I saw another player playing this way using 25 dollar chips. (on the outside) He would play two of the three 12's. For example $25.00 chip on the 1st twelve and $25 dollar on the second 12. He cut his winnings in half but had 24 numbers out of the 36...except for 00 or 0 of course. Sometimes he would play 1st and 3rd, or 2nd and 3rd but always 2 of them. He had a stack of chips. The only risk if that other 12 comes out, then you loose twice.

While 23 is my number, we always bet 25 Red on the roulette table. This is because on our very first CRUISE on our honeymoon in 1991, for some reason 25 was very lucky. The dealer was laughing every time it hit. So we bet it all the time. It has no significance such as birthdays or anniversaries. Just goes back to our honeymoon cruise.

Here is something fun I like to do when playing roulette. It is very entertaining, has some chance to win "big", yet not cost a lot. Place an outside bet on one of the "thirds" that pays 2 to 1 (either one of the three columns, or the first third 1-12, second third 13-24, third third 25-36). If you hit it, when the dealer pays, take out your initial bet (now you can't lose on that roll!) and with the rest LET IT RIDE again on a one of the thirds. Then, if you keep winning, keep letting the winnings ride so you are doubling/tripling up (and stack the chips up in a huge column)! See how far and high you can get. Believe me, you will be tempted to take out winnings as you go along (and you will!), but it's fun to see how far you can get. It's pretty hard to string a few along, but I've had some pretty good strings of luck, and when you are doubling up it doesn't take long to get really up there. Once in Vegas, I was up to like $800 and slid the huge stack over to "let it ride". People were gathering around and I could hear whispers of "That guy's crazy"! Guess what? I lost. ! :D But it was worth the entertainment. It doesn't cost a lot, and if you do hit a few you can pull out what you lost on other spins so that you may not really lost much. Lots of fun.

And Kevin, I am with you. Craps is our game. As far as casino gaming goes, NOTHING beats a great run at the craps table. VERY much fun!

Just incase you don't know, this is one of the worst games you can play in ANY casino.

Besides the slots, which can be juggered to any payoff odds the casino wants, you are correct. Of course if you can find a wheel that only has a single zero on it (supposedly they have them in Europe, I've seen a couple in smaller Vegas casinos) the casino's edge is halved and it becomes pretty competitive with other games.

For some reason, I've always been lucky at roullette and nothing else!! I always play "11" and other numbers randomly. On one of my cruises I hit a hard "11" 6 times!!! I turned $50 into $500!! Oh, and I always split the zeros (one chip between 0 and 00) because, inevitably, it's bound to hit a few times while I'm there. It's better to win something than nothing.

24 for both my birthday May 24 and my anniversary March 24. Oh and I used to play my age but it's no longer on the roulette wheel.

LOL!

Just like filling in the #'s on the lottery forms. I do quick picks now!:rolleyes:

I don't gamble at the casinos on board too much but when I do it's roulette. I always bet on #28 because my daughter was born on March 28. I've had pretty good luck using this offbeat strategy:).

Anyone else like to share their lucky number story?

I always play 12 because one time when I was on a cruise, the ship was rocking so much that 12 came up at least once in every 10 spins. I won a fortune!

I play 12 too, but for a different reason. My daughter was born in the 12th month, I was born on the 12th day of a different month. My daughter was born in '75, which, when added together make 12; I was born in '48, which, when added together...

So I always play 12 and also the four corners of 4-8-7-5. We've won more than we've lost on those bets.

We play 32 too and win a fair amount. No reason, but it seems to come up a lot.
