Need direction to fisherman wharf from SF port

Hi,

 

Our first cruise in 2 wks to LA will stop by San Francisco on 1 day from 8-4pm. Being first time to SF we are wondering how close is the port to fisherman's wharf and direction to get there. My wife and I will be with our 2yr old daughter therefore wonder if it's the best to cab there rather than taking cable car/walking? Thanks.

It's just west of where most ships dock. Exit the terminal and turn right, it's an easy walk.

You can see Fisherman's Wharf to your right when you exit the horrible old cruise terminal in SFO. Walk about 4 blocks and you will be there. Fisherman's Wharf actually comprises a couple of piers with lots of restaurants and touristy shops:)

Or take one of the old-fashioned streetcars from the pier to FW.

The cruise ship terminal is at Pier 35, Fisherman's Wharf is at Pier 45, it is a pleasant, level walk, have pushed DW there in a wheelchair. Have a stop at Pier 39, it is a rather interesting festival type market.

To put it into perspective it is about a 10 minute walk. When you exit the cruise ship terminal you just make a right and walk about 10 minutes. You will see the sign saying Fishermans Wharf.
