Need expertise regarding an ES question

Question: If you book ES as part of a group, does that mean you cannot get price drops because you have a "group price"? If you can only get drops when the group price drops, where do you go to find what the current price is so you can check? (This is booked through a travel agent.) If you can't get any price drops, why do they allow ES to be booked or why don't they at least tell you that you can't partake in the price drop part of ES (only the lower price than non-ES to begin with)?

Thanks!

Hey this kind of thing happened to me recently. The cruise was a on few weeks ago $10 lower per person and i was denied when I made the request, I'm not sure why. But hey I got a great rate anyway, so I won't get a pop card this cruise. I look at it as if I get a credit ( we have on many other cruises it's great) if not it's still a bargain for the trip. We take 3-4 cruises a year and Carnivals the best bargain afloat.
