rool Posted September 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Probably been mentioned before but I'm not the brightest match in the box at the best of times. This only really works for those travelling on American lines that charge onboard accounts in $. The exchange rate for £/€ is quite good against the $ at the moment and I'd love to settle my whole account to take advantage but can't afford to but has anyone thought of sticking little bits of onboard credit every month where exchange rate is good. Maybe 50-100 that might not be missed depending on circumstances?.
dainew Posted September 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2009 i think you are talking about doing on board credit. if so i am doing this this cruise in dec. i buy funship dollars and do them as on board credit. go to the search thread and type in funship dollars and it will tell you how to do it. then you get a confirmation telling you they received it and then another for your records with a confirmation that it will be put on your account 2 weeks before the cruise. i hope this helps. diane
paul929207 Posted September 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2009 Just be sure the exchange rate your cruise line is giving you is decent. With many lines, you are better converting pound and euros to dollars and giving the dollars to the ship.
