cheaper than disney insurance

can anyone recommend a travel insurance that is more reasonably priced than Disney? I am looking for insurance that would cover if my mother in law or father, who are both elderly, became sick and we had to cancel to take care of them, or they were in the hospital.

 

We have cruised 9 times and never took travel insurance, however, I think as the parents get older it might be a good idea. We are cruising in July 2010, double dip Castaway.

We used a local travel agency to book our cruise and they got a better priced insurance with a few more bells & whistles.

Most credit cards offer travel insurance you can buy on a yearly basis. I pay $99 a year on my mastercard and as long as I charge a portion of the trip to that card, I am covered for medical, interruption, cancellation,etc.... And that is a yearly price that covers myself and my family!

To get coverage in case the pre-existing conditions of non-traveling family members would cause you to cancel, you usually have to buy the insurance within 10-21 days (depending on the policy) of making your first trip payment.
