LizzieNJ Posted September 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2009 I was just wondering if it's crazy to aarive around 9:30 or 9:45 for a cruise out of port canaveral on easter sunday. Is that cutting it too close? I would prefer to fly the day before but it will be hard because of dh's work. Any comments are appreciated. This would be our 2nd cruise ever, and the 1st one was easy. Left from NYC 1/2 hour away from home.

As long as your flight is on time then you will have plenty of time, MCO to PC is 45 Mins, you will have to board by 3:30pm, any flight delays may cause you problems though
cb at sea Posted September 27, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2009 You should have plenty of time to retrieve your bags from the airline, do the ride to port and get there with time to spare. Weather shouldn't be a problem that time of year.
sailingawaysoon Posted September 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2009 You should make it w/out any problems, pending all goes well w/the airlines and weather. If at all possible, I would fly in Saturday evening, possibly after your husband gets finished w/work (if that's feasible). It's just so stressful traveling the day of your cruise because you worry about everything under the sun. Have a great cruise. The Freedom is one of my favorite ships to date. You will love her! bajathree Posted September 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2009 IMO you are playing with fire flying in the same day like that.....especially during Easter/Spring Break.....it will be packed flying out of the NorthEast during that weekend. mominwestlake Posted September 29, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2009 I also think you should try to fly in after your dh is finished with work on that Saturday. We have flown to MCO at times when you wouldn't think weather would matter, and we have been delayed. I would be a wreck if I was leaving for a cruise.
