138east Posted September 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2009 The taxi fare calculator says $25, so figure $25-$30 depending on traffic.
the2006Junket Posted October 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2009 Hi, Just wanted you to know that there is no Courtyard Marriott at Logan airport...all are considerably off-site. What is the city/location of the Courtyard? L
138east Posted October 3, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2009 Logan Airport is very small - there is only one hotel in the middle of the airport and two hotels that are adjacent. The other airport motels/hotels are northeast of the airport up route 1A. The Marriott Courtyard is one of the closest of these - only a mile away but still within Boston city limits. Other motels/hotels are 5-7 miles away up rte 1A in Revere or Saugus.

Hal from Ohio Posted October 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2009 we did Logan to pier ... $2.00 on silver line city bus. And, pier to Logan with shuttle van for $10.00 each.
138east Posted October 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 24, 2009 Hal from Ohio - I live in Boston and have done the Silver Line to the airport many times. However, could you tell the other cruisers what it was like for someone from out of town with cruise luggage to do the trip? Where did you transfer buses - at Silver Line Way or Seaport/World Trade? How far is it from the Black Falcon stop to the terminal entrance? IMO the trip is like getting on a rental car shuttle bus to the car rental at any airport. You might have to roll your luggage a bit, but once again no worse than many airports.
LindaKE Posted October 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted October 24, 2009 We stayed at Embassy Suites, right beside Logan. Our taxi fare was $23, but there was no traffic, so it might run a little more depending ontraffic.
500skidoo Posted October 28, 2009 #9 Share Posted October 28, 2009 We just got back from the Boston cruise a week ago. From Logan airport terminal C we took the Silver line T. Walked outside and asked for the silver line, found the stop, 5 mins later bus showed up. We got on and then to the world trade center, bus driver told us to stay on till the next stop. We did, he said get off here walked across the street, waited 5 minutes, transfer bus showed up, told driver we had a transfer. Driver took us right by the Jewel our ship and stopped. When we returned walked to the T stop on the corner by the stop sign, waited 5 minutes and did the trip in reverse. Total trip was 20 minutes and 2 pp each way. Just ask the driver if you are unsure. Bus had luggage racks Ryan
138east Posted October 28, 2009 #10 Share Posted October 28, 2009 500skidoo - thank you so much for reporting back on your Silver Line experience! You have answered one of my questions - yes you can transfer at Silver Line Way and not go to World Trade Center. It was manageable with luggage, convenient, fast, and cost you $8 for 2 people instead of $40-50. Well done!
