Chairs and Umbrellas on Waikiki

We'd like to rent a couple of lounge chairs and an umbrella for part of the day at Waikiki Beach...

I've checked with a couple of the hotels and they tell me they only rent to hotel guests.

Anyone know where you could rent, if you're on a cruise and not staying at one of the hotels???

We have rented chairs and an umbrella in front of the Outrigger Reef hotel hotel on several occassions even though we were not staying at the hotel. I don't know if we were lucky or if it was a slow time. We did this on Thanksgiving and Christmas of last year.

There are also a couple places to rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach in front of the Hyatt. If you get down to the beach early you, of course, get your umbrella and chairs in the best spots. Have fun!!

waikiki is a great place to find lots of places to rent chairs/umbrellas/surf boards, etc.....

 

we usually rent these items from a beach rental set up on the diamond head side of the moana hotel (behind the duke statue). it's about $20.00/day (there's also 1/2 day and hourly prices). we like this spot because there are no hotels between the beach and kalakaua avenue, so it feels a lot more open (although there are hotels on the other side of kalakaua) :cool:.
