Special pricing emails

Two weeks ago we received an email for a discounted price on a Panama Canal cruise, which we ended up booking. Exactly one week after we booked, we received the same email, but for $100 less per person. I called Princess but was told they couldn't honor the lower price. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

It is a flash promotion and not valid for price matching.

If you can cancel and rebook.

Usually, once we book all e-mails about special pricing disappear until after our cruise. We don't have anything booked now and haven't received any flash promos in a long time. I guess Princess stopped loving us.

Yes, consider yourself lucky that you got a mailing after you already have this cruise booked.

 

If this mailing is valid, and has your account number on it, you should be able to use it by cancelling and re-booking with the new promotion???

You are not asking for price-matching...... You are asking to book a valid promotion.

 

Unless, of course, you are now past final payment lock-in date. Then you can't cancel your existing booking without penalty.

 

If not, simply book with this promotion, and then cancel your existing booking.

Be very careful - flash promotions usually have some sort of wording "new clients only". That means that if you cancel your existing cruise to book at a lower rate for the same voyage, your booking will be denied because the computer will show you as NOT a new pax.
